The second car is for my brother. I stoopidly gushed too much about the one I’m getting. He decided he wanted his own and pulled the classic Little Brother whine: “Get me one, too!”

I had no choice.

Then I stoopidly told him about the Catwoman figures and…

Still ain’t finding those choices. I hadda preorder him his own double deluxe duo w/ dio package.

Uh, but to get back to your original question, yeah, I will be doing both an ‘89 and Returns display. Only one will have a Batmobile, though.

Z
Wow, you're an amazing Big Brother! Good on you. It should be a great Christmas for both of you then.

You haven't told him about the seated 89 Batman figure yet have you? The final sculpt shared on the Jazz Facebook page looks terrific. You may have to get two! 😂

It's not me a problem. It is a factually unethicalthing to do. No reasonable person on earth thinks its appropriate to treat a test batch product like a final offering.

Can you tell me what all changed between the test batch and the final release? I was under the impression it was just the packaging and rubber insert for the canopy.

Are the dents, floppy gearshifts, loose canopy, and orange peel paint only a test batch issue?

Woo-hoo! Just got the shipping notification for my first ‘89 Batmobile and expect notice for the second one shortly.

I watched all the vids, read all the comments and am still amazed at all the vitriol being sprayed around in here. Chill out people. Where are the moderators?

I know I’m not alone in being excited to get this

Thank you again, Joost, for making this dream come true. I can’t wait!

Z
This! The moderators already warned people to tone it down - it seems some people aren't taking notice.

I am sorry but let's not start creating more new issues. The canopy fits perfectly and can be removed so you can fit a figure in there (much harder to do otherwise) and the gear shifts are within spec and were never up for debate to change

He’s not referring to how flush the canopy is,
he’s referring to the actual rock and dip it has when touched and pushed back and forth.

You know this but decide to act oblivious.

If you need,
there’s a review on a page back or so that clearly shows this. Your “canopy legs” don’t lock in anywhere.

If a loose gear shift is up to standard, I have no business complaining about a canopy that appears it’s out to sea…

At this point I think we’ve all said our piece - criticisms and praises. There’s enough information out there now for people to make up their own minds. May I humbly suggest we be happy for those who have decided to keep their orders and maybe take this thread in a more positive direction? I think Jazz has done some really good work on their seated Batman accessory. Has anyone else seen the final sculpt posted on the Facebook group? I think it’s a great likeness to Keaton and an improvement over the prototype. For those who are keeping their orders, will you be picking one up?

I am not acting oblivious. These rubber feet do not lock in anywhere because then the canopy cannot be removed which means it is next to impossible to put in our vehicle accessory. It is also designed with the rubber feet, so as not to scratch. And yes, if you press on rubber feet, it will rock, but if you just leave it alone like a display piece it will set perfectly and look exactly like it should. I refuse to accept these new made up things as 'issues'.
The canopy was always designed to be taken out because we were developing the sitting batman. There is no mention on the product page that it would 'lock into place' and 'not rock and dip' if you press down on it. It is meant to be a display piece
As for the gear shifters, it's the same. There was never any mention of a certain amount of friction or torque that is guaranteed as a minimum to pass QC. They just have to move. Just as was shown on the prototype.
Really, this is getting ridiculous!

Yeah. I hadda get him a seated Bats and ‘68 third season car (because I refused to give him my ‘66.) And a whole boatload of Moducases to put em all in to boot.

Thank goodness he showed no interest in the ‘66 Batcycle!

Is it a private group? I can't seem to find that.

This is the gear shift issue I’m referring to, from one of Kevin Fuentes’ reviews of it, he shows it at the 56:50 mark:

Sure, I get that they just have to move, but it’s just another thing that gives it a cheaper feel. It looks broken.

I’ve been thinking about the misconception that some of us are in a “Jazzinc Cult” just because we defend our opinions about their products. I like to think of us as more of an impromptu fan club more than anything else.

I think Joost should consider offering us t-shirts to proclaim our allegiance to his brand. Whoever does the graphics for their box designs could whip up a nice simple graphic. Or he could just put the Jazzinc Dioramas logo on the left breast.

Or make a joke:

“My other Batmobile is from 1966!”

Find a nice t-shirt or polo shirt and offer the shirts for sale on his website. Ask the community what they think. Selling t-shirts with a company’s brand logo has become quite common.

I take a 2XL and prefer black but some might prefer a blue or lighter color.

I think they’d sell like hot cakes!

Just musin’.

The focus on the gas cap and gear shifters in that review were a bit pedantic in my opinion. I rolled my eyes when watching that. lol

I wouldn't be playing with the gear shifters at all, so why does it even matter? The more important aspect of it is how is it painted, and what does it look like, not the functional aspect of it. The Jazzinc is more accurate looks better overall. As this would be a display piece, I'm more concerned about the visuals of the console, seats and cockpit in general. Jazzinc is clearly the best in that regard.

What looks cheap to me, is the general plastic appearance of the HT Batmobile and the screws in the fins. That just kills it for me, and why I couldn't go for either version.

To each their own, but when it comes to a shelf queen, Jazzinc is by far the better looking vehicle.

The difference comes down to one basic truth:

One is a toy and the other is a piece of art.

One is meant to be played with. One is not.

Don’t matter whut the kids want to do with em!

It's not me a problem. It is a factually unethical thing to do. No reasonable person on earth thinks its appropriate to treat a test batch product like a final offering.

If you think he should give a final review of a test batch product like its a final release then you fundamentally dont understand what a test batch is. This isn't an opinion. Its an agreement between manufacturer and recipient, that we are TESTING production, and if there are issues we will fix the product you recieved.
Please go over to Justin Collections review of the vehicle was a test vehicle and please let me know where he calls it one? I even asked the question in his comments if this was a test or final and he never replied to it. Joost confirmed to me his was a test and he dropped the video at night so Joost didnt see it until it went live. 700+ subs and he didnt tell people the car was a "test" he reviewed it as a final.

I honestly don't think you understand what a test batch is. The things done well on a test batch can be praised- because they have already been ironed out at the factory. The problem areas are not to be openly criticized but instead discussed privately with the manufacturer because the social contract and purpose is that they are actively using this batch to identify the problem areas to remedy. That is why you dont criticize the issues but can praise the things done right in a test batch. That is how they factually work.
It was proposed to me a review sample. He only started using the words test batch when things went south.
