The weathered version seems to give the illusion of motion - like the spray coming off the wheels. It's a very cool look. It does sort of make the clean version look a bit vanilla. I just wish it could look more like water than mud, although I have no idea how that could be done.

Just got my order in.

@JazzInc - what was the bottleneck? I assume that the FB people got notified first and locked the rest of us out with traffic.

we don’t know. We were sitting ready with three people and the Webhosting company had dedicated additional servers. The pre-orders just went live later than planned, right when I posted the pre-order link here as I promised. I’m guessing it was too much traffic after all.

That's a very fair point. It's not like concert tickets where the early buyer gets the best seats.

I'm sure there are several of us here that have ordered other items from him - and you're absolutely right - if he didn't make good stuff, nobody would care. I think that what bothers me a bit is that we were completely overlooked here. I can't blame him for focusing on the FB group, certainly that's a larger population to market to. But he did make a commitment here to give us the same opportunity that he was giving the FB group, and that didn't happen.

Again, to your very valid point, I'll be very happy with my new clean batmobile, regardless of the number.

Yeah, I'm not bothered about what number is on a plate I won't even be displaying - I just want the car lol. I'll get it ordered eventually. I'll let the hysteria subside and try again when the site isn't overwhelmed.

I’ll have to sleep on it. It’s incredible that they are offering a choice at all, but I cannot help but wish there were a “mildly weathered” option.

Clean will probably win me over in the end. Seems more versatile as a display piece.

Yeah think I'll probably wait until will see those pics of the 2nd proto, as I'm not feeling too won over by the current clean version pics (where the car doesn't even have a windshield in some shots).

I feel my order with Joost is much safer in terms of on-going improvements compared to Hot Toys and Queen Studios. Joost is so active all over the collector world, always taking feedback to improve the designs. I had no hesitation this will be the most accurate Batmobile out of the three.

I like this but I'd like to see how it looks first. I'm wondering though if this will push people to change their PO from the weathered to the "clean" version.
