Hi Jessica, I have more pics that help you. This is a Screen accurate replica of the Master sword and shield from Twiglight Princess.

WOW! Fabulous! This is the one I'm going to do...I see that it's a square shape on the sheath, and totally not what I had in mind...I started the sheath but that doesn't mean I can't add to it. These photos are fantastically helpful.

Thanks, die...the scabbard is baking in two halves as I type. I will probably sand it down before I take photos. The 3D effect of the sword and the fluff on the blade gave the sheath an extra notch of difficulty. Once it's cooled off I will sculpt the decorations of the scabbard.

Here is the scabbard. Totally not done, but it's chugging along. I've wrapped the design on both sides. I will cut it in half before I bake it, as the scabbard comes apart in two pieces, and will have a more decorative front and a plain back, which will be the side closest to the body when it's strapped up.

On a #10 envelope for sizing. The extra metal bits to the top of the sword was tough to accomodate. The sword does pull in and out of the scabbard, at least!!

Jessica, I´m so excited with every step you make. Where can I find a 10" body for Link? What is the body that you finally will use for him?

You can get a decently priced nude body here: https://www.bellonadistribution.com/shoppingcart/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=20293&cat=TimoDucca

I just baked Link's vambrace and it's absolutely fabulous. Too bad I couldn't take a photo of it...because my camera ran out of juice....but it's way better than the first one I made.

Here's a photo of the body. Take a good look at his left hand, which grasps the hilt of the sword so perfectly. If you get a 10 inch figure, get this one...the sculpt of Link's head is made to fit this size body.

and here he is in action:

and the left hand before I burned the fingers off. If you want him to have fingerless gloves, just paint them on with 3D paint, which is rubbery and elastic...and sticks to this type of material without any problems.

The vambrace I made a few days ago. No work on Link until I finish my son's Planet of the Apes gorilla pullover for Halloween.

You should be proud. All this you're doing it from 0, from nothing and that has much merit and value:whip

Holy crap!! What did I get myself into? I tried to make wefts with liquid latex and some of this hair, but because of the wave it wasn't working very well. So I ended up just sewing the wefts of hair down. I'm layering it up as you would tile a roof, because I want to make sure that the pullover with hair still has some stretch for easy on and off.

Finally at long last, I also completed the right hand of my Dr. Zaius gloves. It's been one whole year in the making almost, since I found the perfect leather gloves in the right color. Unfortunately, it only came in a size extra large. I had to take apart the gloves and resew the fingers so they would fit on my hand. I'm so happy.

I used to make these, and they looked so spectacular, too!

If I have energy and time left, I'm going to hide the edges of the hair with additional hair glued down by latex...kinda like what I did for Zira's sideburns.

No matter how heavy you spray down the hair, it gets messed up once you pull it over the head...so it looks like I'm going to have to "ape-pear" at Ashton's school to help him into the hood and also spray the hair down and manage it so it looks presentable.

Oh God I'm so not ready...

Mego scale female chimpanzee. Needs more hair, I think.

Just another day in the life of an animal psychologist...October 30, 2009. I suppose I am my own custom.

These are my favorite pair of boots only because they look so nice with the ape gear.

Link work will resume in January, since I need to catch up on private commissions...repaints and outfits.

Mego scale Zira. So close but no cigar. :monkey2

Today I was struck with sculpting something different...T'Pau. This is how far I got because I couldn't find any photos of the back side of her head. I've always thought she was a rather beautiful creature. She is Mego scale.

For fun I'm just going to have to sculpt this chair!!

T'Pring was so beautiful!
dsc02144p.jpg

But her head was too big. :(
dsc02147f.jpg

So I massaged her a little smaller, and now her head is more to scale with the body.
dsc02148.jpg

Closeup. I know she will be spectacular when I get paint on her.
