Make no mistake, I didn’t buy this either. Of course it was going to sell out, it sold within minutes on their site. This IP sells. I would however like that Jaeger Lecoultre watch for my custom.
If they made the sculpt rooted, improve the likeness and have an Alfred, that would justify the price more. Such a hard pill to swallow for what you’re getting when inarts proto looks better so far.

If the armory was by itself I would be more interested.

Yes, I’ve been clamoring for a rooted Bale Wayne sculpt for a while now, most prefer sculpted for his hair though, so majority outweighs realism.

They should have done -
Type A - Bruce Wayne or Batman
Type B Bruce Wayne, Batman & armory
Type C Bruce Wayne, Batman, armory & Alfred

With a proper batsuit instead of cheap 3D printed resin, if we wanted a statue we would of bought the 1:3 Batman. Unfortunately they’re extremely new to 1:6, TDK batsuit is very intricate and they don’t understand how to properly do it, which is odd because HT has the right approach, just the wrong details.

What I meant is, I’d rather pay $500 for just the suit expertly tailored, than $1,500 for a set that has a lot of bits I don’t want. I realize that I’m in the minority for that, but at the end of the day, it’s just about seeking out the best quality.
As I said, that's fine and nothing wrong with that. Just a different argument is all :duff
When artists are being picked up left and right, leaving the people who love their work nothing because of a contract, that stings. Yunsil has back log, and only works with original run organizers. The Nightt47 Joker 2019 Yunsil project is going on 5 years and nothing from Nightt47, he’s held onto 13k of deposits and is virtually a ghost. I’m not on that run, but now that means she’ll never make that suit for anyone unless he comes forth with the deposits after clearing up all of his other agreements with her, she only does one project at a time per organizer. Her & her team are out of the picture for Phoenix indefinitely,

Yea, but that's a Nightt47 problem really isn't it? Not really Yunsil's fault. Nightt47 is silent on all their projects and glad I noticed that before getting on any of theirs that popped up. Lots of project managers are doing that lately.

Custom tailors are also not the most reliable either. There was an Iris LaLa Land Seb project that I contributed to, but pretty sure it won't see the light of day which is $100 deposit lost. That's due to Iris prioritizing their friends' projects and putting them ahead of the queue of other projects that they already previously took money for. For instance, that TDK Bruce Wayne project was started years after we gave them the deposits for our LaLa Land project yet that Bruce Wayne is already getting a protoype and we have nothing with Iris straight up ignoring our project manager. Same thing with the John Wick clothing runs Iris is doing by the same project manager as our La La land project. They have a prototype but it's been slow going on getting the actual sets out. The '66 Joker Iris project got pretty nasty with some ppl basically saying they sent threats to Iris in order to get their money back b/c they sat on customers deposits for years with nothing to show for it while Iris worked on newer projects and made prototypes. Similarly, I got on an Iris Skyfall suit run last year and received it in less than a year of paying for it.

Hard to know who to trust more in the custom world lately.

Addblue charges way too much for his work.
Agreed. Addblue is very expensive for what you get.

I understand this Phoenix Joker from InArt is helping people obtain him, and that’s great, but I would like them to make it the best they can if they’re going to use up resources everyone else can no longer use. They’ve got a lot of back logged product and need to focus on getting all of that out before throwing out 4 packs and the like, doesn’t seem to me that they’re on strict limited resources, they’ve randomly produced a detonator for a Joker that’s been over and done with for how long?
Budgets are different for each project. From what we know about the Phoenix Joker licensing stuff, it's all high cost so while it may seem like they have infinite money to throw at it and do what they want, we also don't know how the budget breaks down and how much of the budget is allocated to each category. It's not like the Joker detonator is being dished out to all the customers who ordered either but rather a small quantity. Having money left over in the TDK Joker budget doesn't necessarily mean that those funds can then be used/transferred to fun a different project with a different license. But, at the end of the day, none of us really know how all that works unless we have someone here who has experience in that arena. I can only speculate it's similar to my own experience working with budgets in really high end custom homes, which is what I base my assumptions on but don't really know myself.

How disappointing. This figure really shows again that JND just can't pull off sculpts without 3D scans being handed to them by the licensor. Wonder woman, Cavil Superman and a couple other characters which they had 3d scans were all excellent, but the ones they had to sculpt on their own are just goofy looking.
I'd totally buy this set in a heart beat if they had nailed the sculpts, even without articulation. I guess for now I will have to stick with my DX19 and hoping Inart comes up with their version soon.

Yes it’s not Yunsils fault at all, no doubt about it, I received the Ledger bank robber 2.0 suit her & her team did about a week or two ago. Excellent work, no issues at all. Yes it’s Nightt47s fault, but at the expense of everyone who wanted to see her attempt the Phoenix suit, she won’t do it for anyone until he surfaces, which may happen or it may be multiple years from now, who knows.

Artists can be a bit rough to communicate with, via the options available to contact them, possible language barriers, good at work, bad at the business side of things, etc. Yes it would appear they pick their favorites, but they all do that in some form or another. As long as the goods are received it’s a mute point. Yes I’m aware of Iris short comings with a select few projects. In my experience talking to her, I had no issues and was able to exchange info back and forth. I was asking her to upgrade her Ledger Joker suit with bits altered on a 2.0 to make it more accurate, to which she agreed, but wanted me to get approval from the og run organizer, I reached out to him, with no response, I guess he didn’t care to make the suit any better, who knows. I ended up having to buy her original work brand new and that was that. I don’t understand run organizers not wanting the best possible for their runs, some organizers are absolutely top tier stand up people, who go the extra mile for us, others, not so much.

I agree we don’t know InArts numbers and how their funds are allocated, but a lot of the time, companies and artists will announce something to help pay for existing expenses to complete old work. It’s business but it’s their way of being able to continue to produce without going bankrupt. The economy is **** right now so all bets are off. I very well may end up ordering the deluxe InArt Phoenix Joker set, because that seems like my only option at this rate.

I was told first hand by the artist who tailored the InArt Phoenix Joker red suit, that they’re contractually obligated to no longer make their own run of it for custom collectors
Well, given the list of inaccuracies we’ve seen scattered through that thread regarding the red suit, and the fact this top of the range artist couldn’t identify a pair of flared trousers when researching the costume, are they really that big of a loss to the custom crowd?

Well see here’s the thing, if it was a custom run there was possibility for a couple samples before production began, to iron out most of the inaccuracies. InArt may tweak the suit, and I hope they do as it’s our only option, but we don’t have the ability to communicate with them like I can by personally messaging the tailor myself, now whether they heed my requests or not is out of my control. But I do like the ability to speak with them directly.

The lack of trouser flare is really my only gripe with the InArt sets. That and the price and trying to figure out what I’d do with 4 Phoenix’s.

I wonder if these custom artists could just use the third party company tactic of using another brand name to get around these restrictions.

Like when Mars Toys doesn’t want to fly/orbit too close to the sun, we get something from Saturn Toys…

My gripes are -

- Lack of flared pants

- Green shirt buttons shouldn’t be completely transparent but rather a milky transparent green.

- Waistcoat needs a little length to cover the belt loops on the pants. If the pants were slightly longer this wouldn’t be an issue due to the high rise nature of the pants. We could just adjust them higher underneath the waistcoat, but currently they’d be too short, they need to be high waters but still swing across the tops of his shoes while still showing a bit of the socks.

- Waistcoat could use a slight orange tinge.

- Shirt collar refinement

- Shirt color could be a bit richer with a slight blue hue.

Some of these issues unfortunately had a better chance at being addressed on a custom run than from a company with tons of people shouting at them from all over the place for who knows what.

Doesn’t work that way for Artists when dealing with a legitimate company. They can now never offer a Phoenix Joker suit no matter the time lapsed after this release.

I find custom runs often have this same problem albeit from a smaller but more vocal group.
Depends on the run organizer, I’d say. All of my thoughts and concerns for the Iris Bruce Wayne suit have been addressed including the inclusion of double blue pinstripes on the grey suit instead of single pinstripes. Run organizer was so helpful in fact, that he went to Dino to print as Iris couldn’t print in the quality needed for it. That’s how they should be ran.

The hair for InArt Pennywise prototype was done by an artist you can commission when he’s not preoccupied. All of these companies want top spot, none are playing fair.

Not looking good IMO. Now JND Bruce portrait is looking a lot like this:

And that thing wasn’t great to begin with.

And I’m SO glad I didn’t PO joker. Looking more like Brittany Murphy than ledger.
