What an amazing HS! I just finished watching the video and he looks all around fantastic! My gf was beside me watching the video and was totally freaked out :rotfl

:lol Nice!! That's what it's all about. Show her some of my other vids and keep the freak outs going. :) Thanks for checking him out.

Re: Joebizz34's World of Customizing *Update-Leatherface 2.0*

Here's a Youtube vid I did showing bits and pieces of everything I have made or have shown for the past 2 years. This is a special shout out to everyone who has watched my channel or supported me here. I will post this in my first post of this thread as an intro vid for any newcomer who wants to catch up. Thanks to you all!!

Re: Joebizz34's World of Customizing *Update-Leatherface 2.0*

Here's my latest. I re-worked my Sideshow 1/6 Obi-Wan Kenobi. I weathered his robe, repainted the head sculpt, swapped out the hands with HT ones and beefed him up more in the gut area. Take a look.

Here's my Youtube vid on Obi along with showing my reworked HT BD Bespin Luke, Tamashi C3PO eye mod and some very cool cathode sabers.

Re: Joebizz34's World of Customizing *Update-Obi-Wan with Cathode Saber!*

Work in progress crappy phone pic for now. More pics to come from my good camera plus a vid. These are my Marmit Sandtroopers re-weathered. The middle one is all Marmit except the rifle. That is Sideshow. The left and right are Marmit Armor placed on Dragon bodies with head sculpts underneath. That is how I bought all 3 of them way back when. I had weathered the one on the right a while ago but decided to re-work him again along with the other 2. I am not 100% done so more progress and pics to come.

Hey man, thanks for the comment. Yeah I've seen Seb doing Star Wars stuff as of late but honestly I've always had a fever to do Horror and Star Wars. Those are my 2 loves ultimately. I have a custom Star Wars thread over in that section that I've been updating all along. So with getting the awesome C3P0 as of late and the cathode sabers, it just put me in the mood for more Star Wars right now.

Actually speaking of Seb, I sold him an extra Marmit AT AT Driver just recently that he is going to re-work so I can't wait to see what he does with it.

Here's the link to the pastels I bought. I got them off Amazon.

Re: Joebizz34's World of Customizing *Update-Re-worked Marmit Sandtroopers!*

Nice work on the Sandtroopers Ron :rock I'm in the same boat as you right now by being in a Star Wars mood. I'm currently reworking a 1/6 biker scout that I recently got. It was missing some parts but I lucked out and found some parts on ebay for it. Keep up the good work dude!!

Thanks man and have fun working on your Biker Scout. I would love to see pics of that when you are done. I have 2 Hasbro Biker Scouts, one of which was re-worked by having the body replaced and I have 2 speeders. I want to re-work them at some point too and weather up those Speeder bikes.

Amazing work there! Loving the SW figures.

Thanks man!! I appreciate you checking them out....:)

Will have to check out the other thread.
Love that repaint on luke and the weathering.
With the light sabre it really gives it a darker moody feel.

Got some cheap pastels already so will give them a go.
I have a hasbro stormtroopers armour that I might put on a body and weather up.
It has some weird black splodges of paint on it that are a real pain to remove.
Don't know if it was originally like that or somebodies applied it but it looks cartooney and fake.
Any suggestions on repainting the armour or removing the black splodges?

Thanks again man and as far as those black splodges go, if it is something that wasn't there originally, try using a little paint remover on them. Normally it is risky because you wouldn't want to accidently remove the color underneath but in this case, he's already white so who cares. :lol When I say paint remover, I am mainly talking about the stuff you can get to clean out an airbrush and stuff. It works really well and is strong but it does the job. As far as repainting the armor all together, that is a tricky one. It first would depend on whether you want that shiny gloss finish look or a completely matte worn battle damaged look. Or a combination of both. I would recommend using an airbrush for the armor though so you don't have that uneven brush stroke look. The airbrush would give you that nice even finish for the base foundation. Then you can use other methods to weather.

I'm digging the Sandies, Ron. What color or mix of colors are you using for that weathered sand effect?

Hey Fiend, Thanks!! It's a little hard to explain in words because what I primarily did was use weathering powder to create the effect. When you add a little water to the brush, it helps create the look you want. However if I could sum it up, I used a mix of colors varying from Rust, Mustard Yellow, Tan, Brown and some Black mixed in there at spots just to add some depth to the weathering.

When I have more time this weekend, I am going to take a couple of better pics to show so the detail can be seen better.

I'll definitely share some pics with you of the biker once I get those parts in. :) Talking about the speeder bikes, I had to buy another one just so I can the parts I needed since the seller was selling the set. Now I got two bikes, don't know what I should with the extra bike. Maybe i'll sell it or bash an Endor Luke for it if I can get the parts.

I wish I can weather up the hasbro bikes as well, but I lack the skills to do it :lol
Maybe i'll get it repainted instead at a hobby shop near by me.
