Exactly! Just because MegCityOne is NewYork in the future the characters don't speak in "lingo" like we do anyways. I think his accent would be irrelevent. Should be a moot point though, as unlike BW/Batman, Judge Dredds voice is like gargling with glass naturally, not a disguise mechanism. Or as Karl Urban said he had read, his voice sounds like a saw cutting bone.

The movie is Drokking Awesome. Brutally violent, and the 3D during the slo-mo scenes are some of the best I have ever seen.

10 out of 10

Thank goodness that crappy Stallone version is now a distant memory

I'll admit - I cringed when I found out Urban was cast, but he looks great from what I've seen so far, so really looking forward to this film!!

So this is actually good!? I instantly dismissed on the grounds of being a rip off the raid with some overly exaggerated costumes, action and dialogue.

I'm surprised at the costume design from what little we've seen.
I think it is possible to go for more of the Bolland/Bisley look and still have it look compelling.

These are some cool outfits, but I don't mind the more tactical look they went with, but I LOVE this lawmaster and wish this was what the judges would ride in the movie.

It's not a rip off of The Raid, it's just unfortunate they came out on the same year.

‘Dredd’ looks great, not concerned at all about similarities. That film was in production around the same time we finished The Raid.

So, I was talking to my cousin today and he mentioned something about Olivia Wilde playing Judge Hershey in this new film. I was like, "what the hell?" and so I went to check it out. How the **** do you confuse Thirlby with Wilde? It's not even the right character, lol. He presumed to argue with me till I gave him the link to imdb.

Anyway, this whole thing actually ended up sparking an interest. I wouldn't mind seeing Olivia Wilde in the next film, to be honest... and I guess I could see her playing Judge Hershey, oddly enough.
