I really hope his brain is examined at least then his death can maybe help someone else.
 
Last I'd seen anything there wasn't any suicide note, so is his family going to donate his brain for research? He was also having a lot of personal problems too, wasn't he? Might have been a combination of the pain and depression that pushed him over the edge.

It's a shame the price these guys pay for greatness. These kids coming in nowadays think the fame and money are a fair trade for the misery, much like I'm sure these greats thought in their youth.

Gotta disagree. Getting paid millions doesn't mean the work isn't dangerous.

People get crippled playing football. Yeah, If I could have played pro-ball I would have of course. They get paid a ton to do what they LOVE to do. I don't disagree that they have it good and do what they LOVE for a living, but the game is dangerous and causes major injuries and trauma.

That said, I don't want to see the game changed.
