Concerning the teeth of the Tyrannosaur, the only teeth that I can see in the diorama are the nipping teeth towards the front, speculatively used for grooming and carefully stripping bones of flesh. What we do not see are the larger teeth on the sides of the jaws, meant for shearing and crushing. The comparison pic from the movie with the banner is a good example of the detail put into that aspect, even the teeth look to be similar in shape in terms of staggering size, large and small interspersed. There are some inaccuracies such as eye color and skin mottling on the skull of the Tyrannosaur, but other than that, the piece is not only one that I am quite pleased with, but also one which is a good rendition of the animals. One big inaccuracy is that the raptor in the T.rex's jaws is still alive when the second raptor leaps onto the Tyrannosaur's side, while in the movie, the first raptor was already dead at the T.rex's feet by the time it's conspecific pack member elected to attack. However, for terms of dynamism in the scene and playing up the epic battle of the film's denouement, it seems it was an exceedingly wise decision.
Size? Well, as some have already mentioned, I'm running out of space for collectibles, and being that I'm already conceding the Jurassic Park license will be getting a lot of my money, I'm pleased with the size, and for that matter, the amount of detail in such a small but elegant piece.
As to the exclusive, the banner is really essential for me. It isn't for all collectors, mind you. However, considering the name of the piece and the nature of the scene itself, I feel it was a wise exclusive. It's just one of those things that I'm sure nerdy fans like myself appreciate, but which isn't necessary for everyone. A diorama was a good choice to kick off the line, in my opinion, but I'm looking forward to maquettes, busts, possible replicas, and it should go without saying I'm hoping for more dioramas depicting classic scenes. One obvious play, I feel, would be for a wall-mounted Dilophosaurus LSB with frill extended. The possibilities here are numerous and quite exciting.
