SO much script immunity...It was great seeing all the main characters from both trilogies together but all that did was quintuple the amount of plot armor on screen. There were like seven major action sequences, all of them with zero tension because you just know they weren't going to kill off so and so.

The whole freaking movie is main characters, at one point I counted eight of them running around in a pack (so ridiculous, lol), and I didn't fear for a single one of them! :gah:

Two and a half hours of "super easy, barely an inconvenience."

Oh and if you're excited about seeing what happens when dinosaurs spread to every continent too bad! That's not even what the plot is about. They introduce a totally new (and idiotic) problem to solve that has literally nothing to do with dinosaurs and then spend all their energy focusing on that.

The only part that had any tension at all was the Malta sequence but that takes place in the first half of the film and if you've watched the trailers then you've already seen most of that part anyway.
Hard to believe that it managed to beat Fallen Kingdom (Though I will admit my 1 repeat viewing I found it much more enjoyable)

This film was Trash. I am more then willing to turn off my brain and just enjoy the Dino action but man oh man there was not much interesting Dino action. The Dino black market and Motorcycle chase was the best part and that was in the beginning so the rest of the film was a bore. I can handle not worrying about the main characters if you give me some great Dino action but this film lacked that.

I was looking forward to the original cast.. But all the charm they had from the other films was taken away from this one. :(

And **** this film for promising to give us action off the islands and in the city streets. Except for a few scenes this was another jungle movie... Wow.

Oh and the super cool scene with the T-Rex stomping through the drive-in? NOT IN THE FINISHED FILM! :banghead
Best part of the movie was not in the movie :lol :lol :lol

That might be a first.
:lol

Read my post above if you really want to know, lol.

Again I did like the Malta sequence because it literally felt I was watching a James Bond or Mission: Impossible movie but with dinosaurs. They even introduced this cool mercenary chick who I thought was going to be a major villain in the film but then they literally just take her out of the movie and pretend she never existed and it was all lame from that point on.
:lol I forgot about her... Yeah she just disappeared. :lol
I expected this. They'll never top Zara's death from Jurassic World.

I am curious if Maulfan will remain "Khev'd" about his dinosaurs though.

NOTE: "Khev'd" means jacked up and enthusiastic in full Star Wars-protection mode
Thats me with Dino / giant monster movies. I love Cloverfield and the Monsterverse. I really like Pacific Rim and really enjoyed Rampage. I even liked Pacific Rim 2.

I love JP
I think JP 2 is in some ways better than the 1st.
I really enjoyed JP3 the first time I saw it.
I really like JW
Repete viewing of JW2 have helped me enjoy that film more.

This film.. Nope. I found a bit of magic in all the films I mentioned above. This film is void of all of that. One decent action scene and that was it.

The film does not even focus on Dinos being the problem. They are just background noise who once in a great while get in the way of our main characters.

Yuck, barf, and puke.

Wow! Kiss of death. OK, waiting for this to come on HBO.

That's really a shame too. To end the series in such a way. They always push until there's just nothing left.

Someone needs to update the title of this thread -- isn't this the third World? :lol

Anyway, I suppose anyone with genuine creative abilities would steer far away from the 6th Jurassic Park installment. There's nothing for them to work with. And fooling the audience into lining up only takes the money to get the original cast to "come on back".

Well, I'm heading off to see this with some dino-sized trepidation (my teen daughter who 100% loves the JW franchise and saw this opening day didn't like it either. That was a surprise. 😬 )

Yes to this 100%.

I was just about to say "but at least they didn't ruin any Legacy characters" but then I realized no...

...they made Wu lame in this. He was a borderline villain in the last two films and that coupled with the fact that his character got the goriest death in the original novel had me excited to see him finally meet his end on screen. But nope he was just a reformed puppy dog whose sole purpose was to explain that he wasn't the mad genius behind everything the past six films and that it was really a female scientist who the scriptwriters just made up out of thin air who was the real brains behind everything. A female scientist so stunning and brave--I mean so wise and so powerful that she could even use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life (ie make herself pregnant without a man.) :slap

Like you all this needed to get a pass from me was a lot of cool and exciting dino chasing and chomping scenes. But nope two and a half hours of pretty much nothing.

With a JW "trilogy" of sorts now completed, you would assume they take the JP route and rest the franchise for a decade+ and reboot further down the line.

But with IP and franchises so utterly dominant these days (a very different movie-"going" landscape to 2001 when JP3 came out) it will be interesting if U would even contemplate that.

Maybe JW is rebooted as a high-profile streaming series to bridge that 10+ year gap to the theatrical return.

That’s what they’re doing with Godzilla-Kong.

My teen daughter didn't care for it either. Nor my 12 year old son. When it was over he said "I wish this movie took place right after the last one so that we could see the dinosaurs terrorizing everyone instead of skipping ahead four years to a time where the entire world has already adapted to them and is functioning just fine alongside them." Yep. :slap

My daughter saw this on her very first date, so I thought maybe there were other factors at play in her not liking the movie - though she said she wants to go out with this boy again!😬:lol

Read the full synopsis on Wikipedia.

Good lord, how can any JP fan enjoy this? It's so far removed from anything we've seen or read. Except maybe Fallen Kingdom, which was poop.

As a huge dinosaur fan I’m kinda tired of these films.
Jw I felt was so good and refreshing and it just really brought out the kid in me. Loved it but then fallen kingdom was very underwhelming and meh it was kinda the same thing and the trailers for this film just didn’t seem interesting either.

Same crap as before. Dude running from dinosaurs in the woods or in a dark building while Chris’s Pratt puts his stupid hands up or whatever and some of the scary dinos act like good guys now. Just have no interest in seeing this.

Yeah the hands thing is apparently a super power now considering in JW it only worked on dinos that he'd trained and bonded with over the course of their entire life but now anyone can do it and it works on creatures that they'd never even encountered before.
Yea it’s really stupid. It wouldn’t be effective on even a dog. Why the hell would a big dinosaur be held back by some small guy holding his hand up like an *****? Good way of getting your arm ripped off easily .

It really is too bad that this is how it ends. Just so much stupid and so much Meh...

This film does not deserve a proper thread title :lol
