Re: Jurassic World

I don't think this one will be as bad, at least the original T-Rex will be in the movie that's a good reason to go watch it

I just hope the story and acting are good and it doesn't rely completely on visuals to make it appealing, which seems to be what the majority of these big budget films do. CGI Fests. Is it confirmed that the original animatronic T-Rex is in this?

I think the two kids where a bad sign from the get-go but who knows, maybe the movie is not that bad. I have no idea what happened to the original animatronic

I don't either, but unless I hear different I'm guessing we won't see a full body animatronic Rex, just CGI, which completely degrades the magic of JP for me.

I agree, I always prefer practical effects over CGI. It's a better choice for a movie like this

Agreed. What makes the JP still hold up is the fact they used mostly animatronics and the CGi was used sparingly and only went needed (ie car chase). The T-Rex attack on the Jeep wouldn't have been nearly as good with a CGI Rex. You wouldn't have gotten that awesome, unplanned, shot of the glass of the jeep caving in and scaring the crap out of those kids even further :lol

Re: Jurassic World

Just watched it again (T-Rex paddock escape scene) - still fantastic. Great memories of seeing that for the first time and the long wait to see it again when I got the VHS that christmas.

Re: Jurassic World

Me thinks this will be the suck, but I'll watch regardless.

even if it sucks it cannot be as bad as Jurassic part 3, at least it has that going for it.

they have so much stuff going on story wise i don't see how it can totally suck. it might not be great but I have a hard time thinking about this sucking when they have so much going on

I've always loved the Muldoon character too. Such a badass.

Re: Jurassic World

I looked at the score I iTunes. There is a piece called "Our Rex is Bigger Than Yours" so that would suggest that the T-rex and Idomnious do go at it. :yess:

Re: Jurassic World

Rex being rode into battle by Goldblum, has rocket launchers mounted on her legs.
