Re: Jurassic World

I have never EVER seen the amount of promotion on the ground for a movie. From nothing to complete bombardment. In Dublin the main train station has been completely covered in Jurassic world stuff. It looks very cool actually. The floor, huge frescos on the walls of jungles, screens playing the trailer over and over. My mind boggles at the money spent.

Re: Jurassic World

Takes me back 20 or so years, seeing all this JP and Terminator stuff everywhere. It's pretty cool. :)

Re: Jurassic World

I saw on facebook they've decked out Waterloo station in JW stuff. Lifesize raptor models too.

Yup. I'm slightly nomadic in my existence, but I call Ireland home. :duff

Re: Jurassic World

I saw some of the dino toys yesterday and felt disappointed. Yes, it's a movie mainly for kids and that's what they're marketing to. But it would be nice if, out of all the merchandise for this already out, some of it at least didn't look so cheap and badly designed. The dinosaurs are all the same size. :slap

It's hasblow what do you expect. They suck so bad at sculpting and size.

Re: Jurassic World

Don't think i can ge behind this Domesticated or 'respecting humans' Raptors thing.

Raptors have so far been presented as cold blooded animals that live to eat people.

the thing is... they are NOT really domesticated. the last clip shows they are still scary as hell

(Besides in the other trailers we see them attack the JW team and try to eat them (they are ready to eat anyone at any moment

In the Jurassic Park book they actually mention that they expect the animals to follow suit with any other caged animal in a zoo and become complacent. Get to know their keeper, the schedule...

It worked for the Terminator :lol

He went from the ultimate killing machine.

To becoming the ultimate nanny :lol

Read an interview with Trevorrow today and the interviewer likened the Rex in JP/W to Terminator. The 'villian' of the first flick becomes a hero and someone to root for in a sequel. Also mentioned the scars on the Rex match up with the Raptor fight in JP. :yess:

edit - Interview.
