Re: Jurassic World

This movie was a blast. I loved it so much. It helps though that the first is one of my all time favorite movies. This is easily the 2nd best of the series.

Re: Jurassic World

:lol yup, already primed for more.

Thanks man.

Nah, I always watch alone first just to see if anything too harsh.

But he's ok with JP1/Kong/Godzilla 2014.

But i'm hearing this movie is more intense than those 3, lets see.

Ok, outta here, be back at 1530 hours with my crappy review. :lol

Re: Jurassic World

While not outright contradicting anything from The Lost World or JP3 this movie did seem to be yet another "ignore all films in the series except the first one" sequel.

Did you see the T-Rex destroy the skeleton of the Spinosaurus? Slight dig, me thinks.

Was that what it was? That's awesome. :lol Of course they did have the T-Rex

temporarily go down as if its neck was going to get snapped again before it was able to say "not this time *****es" and make his big comeback. :lol

fan service. The old wounds can finally heal

Re: Jurassic World

That part was pure gold! T. rex comes in making her return and smashes that wannabe. Loved it

Re: Jurassic World

How small is the T-Rex paddock that it was so close to the gate when whatshername opened it up? Also, what if it was having a nap and didn't notice or particularly care that the gate was opening? Why did she wait so damn long till it was only metres away before running - took a pretty big chance there...especially considering she was still wearing heels. How did the T-Rex not catch her and eat her?

What? It's just a movie? Oh.

Re: Jurassic World

Not to be all scientific. But for some reason in both JPIII and JW the T. rex is being portrayed as being rather weak jawed. It's interesting, that in both movies the T. rex lands the first bite. The T. rex possessed, according to plenty of studies the strongest bite force by any land animal, ever. The moment the T. rex's jaws raps around the I. rex's neck the fight should have been over. Yeah, I know. People want to see an epic fight, and truth be told so do I. Anyways, the old girl put up a good fight against the much younger I. rex. :yess:

Re: Jurassic World

I think they have set themselves up to make a sequel more in line with that 2007 script review I posted a few pages back. Basically the scattered dinosaurs from the Indominous rampage (particularly the flyers) take up homes in the wild on the mainland and start picking off humans at random. The opening scene featured pteranodons scooping up kids and parents from a Little League baseball game. Then Owen gets called back in to lead a squad of super Raptors to hunt down the stray dinos. We'll see.

Obviously we already saw a version of that in JW so they might try and go a totally different route again. One things for sure, the "amusement park" days are OVER. No matter how high concept they get, gun-toting Raptors, etc., I just will NOT buy that the public would ever embrace a fully functioning park ever again after what happened in this latest movie.

They also showed the scientist getting away with the "assets". So that leaves other ideas open for the sequel, a new Jurassic World elsewhere? Who knows.

I actually took that scene as her being prepared to die. She was going to get that T-Rex out no matter the cost. Preferably with just the flare but if she needed to get eaten to save her nephews then so be it. But also...yeah, just a movie. :D

The T. rex in JW is at least 27 years old. That's equivalent to a human being 80. :) The oldest T. rex ever found is Sue, which also happens to be the largest. Sue was 28 years old when she died. But, yeah it's a movie. Ha ha. :lol
