Doubling the original weekend estimate proffered by Universal Jurassic World is now coming in at a reported $204.6M ($204,596,380) for its opening weekend, the 2nd biggest of all time, taking an Express Pass by this May's Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.2M) and almost catching Marvel's The Avengers ($207.4).

People responded well to a trained T-800 and a morphing terminator immediately after T1 so I'd say, yes, absolutely people would have done the same for JW.

The Raptor heads in the clamps were animatronic as well.

I believe that the I-Rex head under the jeep was full CGI and the raptor heads in clamps where CGI in the final movie.

this movie rocked, I liked it but I feel it was missing the magic spielberg brought to the first two, there's just a way he makes movies no one can emulate, well maybe except JJ Abrams. The film was a fun ride and I will be seeing it again.

That opening weekend is insane, I didn't know people were this crazy about a new Jurassic Park movie, Universal is doing Marvel numbers with their two big franchises.

People responded well to a trained T-800 and a morphing terminator immediately after T1 so I'd say, yes, absolutely people would have done the same for JW.

If T1, Jurassic Park 1, Empire Strikes Back or Jaws were released today, most people here would talk about how much they all sucked and were terrible..........a full year before release.

the more I reflect on this movie the more I enjoyed it.

Really wish some company like ThreeA, Hot Toys or Enterbay would get the license and make large quality collectibles from this. Would love a ~3-4 foot JP T-rex figure/statue

Well, you're in luck.

Chronicle Collectibles has announced the acquisitions of the Jurassic Movie Series license. The license spans all four films, including the newly released Jurassic World. They plan on producing figures, scaled Dinosaurs from the films, and prop replicas. Not much else was revealed at this time. We’ll update as we get more news on this.

Well, you're in luck.

Didn't realise they were making figures too, awesome!

Their 1/5 rex is meant to be around 7 foot long so probably out of my price range and too big to ship to the UK. However I am still interested in that. I would love a ~1/10 scale JP T Rex full figure or statue and some in scale Raptors.

I still can't believe they set up a park with thousands of guests and none of them get taken out. It's what we dreamed of when playing operation genesis.

What a waste, especially with the Madeupasaurus abilities.

Love that this movie is kicking ass. I never would have thought in 65 million years I'd be rooting for the 4th installment of a stale franchise... but I had so much damn fun in this movie it completely converted my cynical ass. And I'm happy about it.

Hope I walk out of The Force Awakens with half the smile on my face.

Whoa! Awesome! By the looks of their website they make some decent quality stuff.

I still want to pick up Sideshow's recent T-Rex statue in the mean time, but am very excited to see what Chronicle Collectibles give us.
