Re: Jurassic Park 4

Good screw the Science people, I want Sam Jackson and Newman zombies fighting venom spitting Dinosaurs and invisible Carnotauruses and I want Bob Peck back alive as Muldoon firing a Rocket at a baby T-Rex. :lol

Seriously though, I don't care about accuracy, the Raptors in 1 are inconic Williams works, like The Predator or Alien. In 3 they simply look turrible.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

The dinos are all genetically altered anyway in the original Jurassic Park. It makes sense they wouldn't be like the original Dinos from 65 million years earlier.

I don't know if it's accurate or not, I preferred the look of the Dinos in the first Jurassic Park compared to JP3. The JP3 ones weren't awful, but they just didn't feel the same as the ones from the first.

Also, speaking of the Spinosaurus, where did some of those dinosaurs come from? Didn't they only have 8 or 9 species in the original film? Where did all the other ones come from?

Life must have found a way on Nublar then...:rock

8-9 on display to the public at the park at Nublar. Sorna was strictly for research and breeding so they had alot more to experiment with.

Hammond, genius that he is, chose things like the Rex, Velociraptors, and Venom spitting killing machines behind open bars as opposed to some of the more peacful herbivore species but let's face it, people paying big money to goto Dino Disney Island want to see things like a Rex.

But yea going back to Nublar means a more limited number of species unless they reveal they had more hidden away.

I don't mind having a more limited number of species than the other two movies,
Just as long as the dinosaurs get a little more screen time than the first one this time around.

It could have the same species as the first one, I wouldn't mind. But I hope they use them a little bit more.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

Well theres still a good deal of dinosaurs to play around with. Seems fairly likely we will get alot of the Rex stuff again. Hopefully we see multiple Dilophosaurs. The only question is how many Raptors were left alive after the Rex leveled the Visitor Center, I guess it would only take one becoming hermaphrodite as Alan explains to reproduce a new batch?

The only raptor I can think of that was left was the one Lex locked in the freezer in the kitchen.

But who knows if they are going to say there were eggs no one knew about or something.

(doesn't the book even say that the raptors had nests?)

Re: Jurassic Park 4

Nevermind, they had baby raptors in the lab during that tour, I forgot about that scene so they're covered. But yea don't go by the book, theres alot of deviations.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

I really dig the JP films. Someday, I really need to read the books.

Invisible carnotaurus in this movie would be amazing. I really liked that part in The Lost World. It's a shame the actor that played Muldoon passed away. He was one of my favorite characters.

If they went with the scientific feathered look, the velociraptors in JP3 were pretty conservative, they'd have way more feathers covering their entire bodies. They're too big as well. The velociraptors in the film more closely resemble the deinonychus. Another thing to note is that i's very possible that the tyrannosaurus could have feathers as well.

In the end, I'm fine with them having the same look as they did in the first movie. They can easily say that their appearances and certain hunting/defense mechanisms were altered due to the impure dna that was used to create them.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

I'm thinking that maybe the can of shaving cream that was dropped in JP might of rusted out and released the contents which mixes in with some other DNA and creates something :lol

When I was a kid I used to think that's what would happen :lol

Re: Jurassic Park 4

At this point, 4 movies in, you may as well leave the science behind and accept that the movies are going to have to be about the fun of watching Dinosaurs fight each other and people escape from them. Theres tons of zombie movies, plenty of robot stuff, but not alot of dinosaurs.

I'd say leave the scientific characters at home this time and do something like the new Tomb Raider. Plane crash on the island, un-related to science but stranded people have to figure out where they are and escape dinosaurs, and maybe some other people there hunting the dinosaurs to conflict with. I just don't see any main characters I'd be interested in getting talked into going back yet again. And I don't want the movie to star Julianne Moore's character or Billy or grown up Tim or someone obscure.

I just always assumed this would be the set up for a sequel if the movie did well. The Dinosaurs die but InGen gets the cannister and makes more. They went a differant way though.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

That stopped being funny half way through and than became funny again when he starts drifting. :lol
