Re: Jurassic Park 4

The original JP is the only one I bought. The other two did nothing for me. :dunno

Re: Jurassic Park 4

Probably to have it killed by a giant river crocodile or some lame Hollywood creation for shock factor. Still angry over that nonsense in part 3.

Lame Hollywood creation? :lol

Alright, alright Lar'ja. You got me. I corrected my original comment and removed "other." Good catch on my obvious flub. :lecture

Re: Jurassic Park 4

the ride at Disney is pretty intense. You have the Carnotaur follow you and showing up all over the place.

I agree! Disney's DINOSAUR ride is 100x better and more intense than Universal's Jurassic Park River Adventure Ride.

Yeah, the JP ride has the name value but it is pathetic! I went on the ride once when it was COMPLETELY BUSTED, I don't know why it was even open. The one dinosaur did not rise out of the water, the T-Rex didn't even show up cause he wasn't working and the little Compies tearing apart one of the boats weren't moving at all.

Such a shame they've let it go to crap. It needs to be redone.

The animatronics and details on DINOSAUR are superior to JP in my opinion. JPRA does capture the atmosphere and feeling of Jurassic Park, but there seems to be shoddy maintenance, and the ride does get a big thrill until the end. DINOSAUR might be jerky and dark, but it's pretty intense all the way through as you're racing against Extinction AND a Carnotaur is chasing you.

yeah the Jurassic Park ride is complete bullcrap. I hate it. It has to be one of the biggest disappointments ever regarding a theme park ride.

DINOSAUR is basically what Jurassic Park ride Should have been....

Think about it, you have a jeep in the movie and the T Rex chasing the jeep.
Jurassic Park Should have been the same way DINOSAUR is.

I like to imagine how Dinosaur would have been like with the Jurassic park fences and the T Rex and the Jurassic Park Velociraptors. And maybe even John Hammond's voice in the ride instead of the computer voice. It would have been so amazing.

I Hate that ride. Not only do I hate it, but I hate the potential wasted. The worst thing about it is that Stephen Spielberg was okay with it. He was totally fine with the ride being crap.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

They need to have the Walking With Dinosaur people walking around the rest of the Jurassic Park area. Those things are truely amazing in person, they're so detailed you get lost in it all up close and don't really notice the person's legs inside.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

I'm no dinosaur expert and it's been ages since I've seen a JP film, but didn't a Carnotaur have a small appearance in one of the films? Perhaps it was the third. I thought it was briefly seen then scared away by spinosaurus poo or something.

I'd love to see a deinosuchus stalking then taking a bite out of a herbivore like in that SS maquette.

And what about allosaurus? I don't remember much about it but I think it was my favorite meat-eater as a child.

Well Allosaurus is a pretty generic looking carnivorous dinosaur, so I doubt they'd put that in a movie with a T-rex.

Dinos like Dilophosaurus, Ceratosaurus and Carnotaurus are all more visually distinct when compared to the rex, so I'd rather have a Carno than an Allo, Giganotosaur or Carcharodontosaur. Hell I wouldn't mind seeing a Acrocanthosaurus. damn I still remember that name

Plus they made Dilophosaurus tiny. I'd hate the concept, if I wasn't too busy adoring the realism of the in-movie creature and the frills. That's why I'd like to see a colour changing Carno.

True... Its so scary and you feel like you traveled back in time. Its loud and horrifying and everything works. So much better than JP. The trex on that ride is terrible.

I would love to see a giganotosaurus. That should have been in JP3 instead of a spinosaurus. Those things are massive.

I remember they had to tone the ride down because it was scaring people too much. They had to change some of the audio of the Dinosaur chasing you and make the car less bumpy or something.
And still as it is now it is intense.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

I got to see the show in Philly and the Brachiosaurus and Rex are amazing. All in all it was alot of fun and I'd highly reccomend it if it ever does come around your way.
