Well, it does.

That was part of the excitement of it, and it paid off.

Same to JP1, what makes it even better was that it was a first.

Well I consider the "Park is Open" aspect of JW to be a significant "first" that had never been capitalized on up until now. If you want to compartmentalize these into single moments rather than overall films or whatever then I will concede that the T-Rex coming through the fence was one of the single most awe inspiring moments ever put on film.

But that's the thing, Avengers just happens to be a better movie, fo me.

Overall Avengers has more to offer for me than Zara's death and T-Rex rescue.

Avengers coming together on screen for the 1st time after the MCU build up > seeing T-Rex again

Plus the JW rex looked like ****

I agree with the open park creating excitement, see.....historical significance leaving its synergistic mark in cinema once again, when done right.

Yes, being "first" does indeed enhance an already positive experience. Several movies have turned bad guys into good guys but I don't think I'll ever be as blown away as the moment in T2 when Arnold said "Get down." I had avoided the trailers and TV spots and that moment had me reeling for the rest of the film.

And in addition to divorced parents and whatnot did anyone else get an "E.T." vibe when the boys got in the Jeep and had that little back and forth about the older brother not having his license yet?

His final thoughts are as stupid as possitive reviews though.
But hey, such hypocrisy is to be expected from the almighty Nostalgia Critics. :lol

One thing that did seem a bit strange in the movie was when Claire and Owen found the wrecked Gyrosphere. I would have thought that Claire would have freaked out at the mere sight of the mangled vehicle. But she was pretty calm until they found the cracked phone. It was like "okay a giant monster ripped apart their gyrosphere most likely while they were still inside it so let's see if HOLY **** THEIR PHONE BROKE?!? What happened here!?" :lol

Nostalgia critic has no genius anymore, he isn't funny anymore either, he's just as bad as RLM now, I was never a big fan but his earlier reviews genuinely made laugh out loud and gave new perspective, I think since his Matrix reviews he stopped being clever and just nitpicked a movie for the sake of comedy, there was no longer clever analysis to be found.

Agree.
Still, this "review" was very entertaining (felt like his old stuff for once) and kinda clever (most likely unintentionally).

Really? I thought his Matrix reviews were spot on, and he practically nailed everything I thought about them after the first movie. The movies were a great concept, but poorly executed in so many ways.

But, it's funny, I had some problems with some of the things he actually liked about JW. The entire T-Rex fight had way too much going on, with the slow-motion raptor rescue. It was like I was watching an old-school Godzilla tag-team brawl. And then there was the Trollasaurus popping up from the water all of a sudden...

I think, like most people, he misunderstood the Matrix sequels, all the CGI and action distracted everybody, but I think think he nailed those reviews, quite the opposite, the last good review I saw from him was his Avatar cartoon/movie comparative review, now that was a great review.

I'm not going to go back and read through this thread for opinions but I just got back from seeing this and loved it. I'm sure there are plenty who didn't, but I did. :)
