Well, people do like movies lol I saw The Dark Knight 7 times in theaters and I saw Pacific Rim 6 times. But mostly I'll see a film once, maybe twice if there's nothing out the next weekend that I want to see which was the case for me with Jurassic World.

Wow, a movie every week, I haven't had the ability to do that in a very long, long time. Just when my daughter was getting old enough to take to many of the movies, we just had to go and add another. ;)

Still haven't seen Antman, but I will be securing a sitter way ahead of time for Star Wars!

A-dev will love it. :lol

I really need to see this a 2nd time. Maybe my love is false -- I was in a really great mood when I saw this the first time and just had fantastic news from work, so maybe I liked this more than I should. Can't wait to test that theory.

You're about to get a Terminator Geniwakening on this one. I would think, given what you've just said...because this film really wasn't as good as its box office receipts would suggest. I honestly have no idea why it did so well. It didn't do anything revolutionary, CG isn't new as it was when the first film came out, nor was the story or characters anything to write home about....

I went for my seventh viewing on the 29th of August, in IMAX 3D. Took a couple friends who had only seen it once. The theater was packed. Now just gotta wait for the Blu-Ray release. :impatient: I'm hoping to snag the set with the bookends.

Interesting, because I've actually written several letters to the folks back home about the story AND characters.

:lol :lol

Are you sitting? :google

Universal is reporting that yesterday (9/5) Jurassic World crossed the $1B threshold at the international box office. It's only the fourth film to ever reach the milestone joining 2009's Avatar($2.027B) 1997's Titanic, ($1.528B) and this year's Furious 7 ($1.162B).
Furious 7 and Jurassic World are part of Universal's epic 2015. The studio has absolutely torn up box office records for total receipts, passing the previous record and record-holder, Fox's $5.53B a full month ago. Fox's record was achieved only at the end of 2014 whereas Universal still has three months left in its year to pad its historic lead.

Domestic: $646,643,640
+ Foreign: $1,003,000,000

Worldwide: $1,649,643,64

Yeah they'll be a sequel...

Course give me 10 million and I'll make a better JP Universal Studio Theme Park. Who wants realistic dinos animatronics...?

Forget sequel, that box office got an unknown director the job to direct a Star Wars movie! :lol

In all seriousness, hate JW or not, Colin is the complete opposite of Josh Trash.

The guy carries himself very well and its been said he didn't crack one bit under the pressure of a big budget movie production.

Spielberg supposedly took a big liking to him.

JW is still in a few theaters here and there but it's theatrical run is pretty much done.

Final domestic tally: $650,439,291

Titanic's 1997 domestic + 2012 3D re-release: $658,672,302

Came within $8 million. Dang it. :lol

Looking forward for this movie on blu ray to make up for the disappointment I saw in the theatres. AKA second, third and multiple viewings……..

Yes sir.

Btw, I went to see Green Inferno last Saturday, this is my story:

There was a man sitting behind us talking to himself, parents that brought their 2 year old kid to a Cannibal horror movie AND a man sitting to the right of us having multiple phone conversations using an ear piece so that he could hear who he was speaking with during the movie, how considerate of him lol.

The man with the ear piece brought in a large size Camouflage Duffel bag and left it on his seat and then left at the start of the movie, returned 15 minutes into the movie, then proceeded to have conversations on the phone thru the entire movie getting up and leaving then returning on every phone call!

I really thought his Duffel was either a bomb or he was planning to shoot the place up!

All that stress just for ****ing Green Inferno! :lol

What does this have to do with JW you might ask.

Absolutely nothing! :lol
