After all the silly names Disney has come up with in their Star Wars movies, they pick Rose?

Someone accused Disney of being racist last year because they didn't have an Asian character in the movie.

Apparently a movie series that just happens to not have an Asian character in the story = actively prejudicial.

It pisses me off simply for the fact that I absolutely despise it when creative decisions are made for business reasons.

Of course that's exactly how Lando was created way back in 1980. Some things never change.

Isn't the point of equality to be able to see the irrelevance in physical characteristics and relate to people even if their skin is a different color than your own? Maybe allowing you to connect or relate to characters that aren't in your demographic? Maybe we should just focus on making quality movies with well developed characters and not even caring which demographics we check off on some PC quota. Some films may have all white hetero men as stars, some none. It really shouldn't be an issue.

Oh m8, preaching to the choir. Undeniable point of course, but the usual response is: "wouldn't it be cool that a black kid could look up to a black Batman?".

So let's prolong lack of empathy with barriers like skin color.

Hehehe, Mr. Green is just kidding, lol. GOT do got some sun tanned peep, lol. Nymeria Sand(Jessica Henwick) is part Asian. Wouldn't be fantasy series if it's all modern multicultural.

PS, There's only 3 gender in GOT: Male, Female, and *****.

Sure GOT has white dudes, but why should there be black dudes on it? The world of GOT isn't Earth. Hell, being a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, Star Wars shouldn't even have characters that look like humans with our ethnic backgrounds.

And besides, there are black characters on GOT. So maybe Mr Boyega has only watched 5 minutes of GOT.

People also tend to forget the PT was fairly diverse, with multicultural supporting actors and Maori clone troopers.

There should be a casting rule called The Seven Samurai rule, every 8th character should be of a different race so 7 consecutive Japanese are allowed, they're safe.
