Not anymore, WW > Batman now haven't you heard what happened this summer.

We'll see how many girl power tickets get sold when she's not the lead. I started watching Wonder Woman last night and stopped after 30 minutes. I'll finish it tonight and hope it gets better, but I can already tell the film would have only been 90 minutes long without all the slo-mo shots. I don't think an Amazon fired an arrow or even looked off in the distance somewhere without it being exaggerated with slo-mo.

WW is WB golden child now. The JL movie is getting more interesting each day. I can't wait to see how this plays out in November.

A future WB mistake.....

They keep using faceless enemies because thats how they keep it PG-13 and can still show brutal violence....

I adore Bruce Campbell but he's a ****ing terrible actor!
Yet he never stepped out of his boundaries so nobody can complain about his acting.

Gadot is cute, a bit sexy, but an awful actress.
People think she was good in WW but that's only because of the script.
Her character was a womanchild which means that even a child could play the role.

OMG yeah it would, surprisingly Gadot makes for a good WW.

I think her accent hurts her acting.
I mean, look at arnold, look at sofia vergara... whenever someone has such a strong accent, it just interferes with their performance.
A lot of the problems with these actors is that not only they have to act, but they have to control their speaking.

Arnold's accent is rarely a problem, because he doesn't play American characters. JCVD on the other hand, he thinks he doing a good Merican accent.

I really have to disagree about Justice League. Granted, Gadot is better actor then Justice League, but Justice League is in no way sexier than Gadot.

I must have misread, I was following up from crows comment that accents hurt acting. In some cases, they help.

Definitely overrated. These days, I tend to rate about 10% lower than what RT would say. Metacritic seems to be on the ball, but they do aggregate scores more accurately.

On a related note, GOTG2 was a similar case for me. Couldn't believe it had an 80-something on RT. Didn't deserve more than 60 at best, Wonder Woman a high 70-something. Maybe we've seen so many homogenous superhero films that when one comes along that's slightly different (not necessarily better, but different in some way), we're too eager to dole out the praise.

WW was the first DCEU film that wasn't a total catastrophe. Doesn't make it the bee's knees. And GOTG2 doubling down on the humor doesn't make up for its terrible storyline and cliche climax.
