Because there was no substance to it that was proven. Like I said, one of the accusers was later convicted of fraud, but it conspicuously boiled up right at the point that the movie was coming out. So, putting two and two together, it felt like an attempt to squeeze the guy for money in order to avoid bad PR. Could be he was guilty of those things. It wouldn't shock me. But where's the evidence?

What were the results of the "massive outcry" against Bryan Singer? Absolutely nothing from what I recall.

Every single one was subjected to a pay off and NDA, every single one guaranteed.

Part of the NDA actually includes the abuser being allowed to come out looking positive in the media.

Yeah, I barely remember one or two lowkey articles.

I think it's because gay actors are more content with that lifestyle and the price it comes with, just look at Henry Cavill and Tom Holland.
I heard rumors that Travolta was victimized by men early in his career, but again, nothing concrete. I'm sure lots of women are also willing to accept abuse, either out of fear or other pressures. Sounds like this was the case with Asia Argento.

Exactly.....i was typing that lol.
I dont even recall outrage as much as just people shocked and a lot of gossip and rumors. He didnt have to get out of the country or anything. Corey Feldman and Elijah Wood have talked about abuse but they are too scared to name names because they know it will hurt them, and get sued, people dont care as much. Rob Schneider recently talked about an executive making him do degrating things but no one really cares. Went under everybodys radar.

Now Disney is being accused by this anonymous star!!! :panic:

In that sense, it sounds no different than any other kind of abuse. It happens all the time, but people generally ignore it, until it swells up and can't be ignored anymore, as in the case of Weinstein. In all likelihood, Errol Flynn was a sexual abuser of an underage girl.

Wheres the evidence to the bill cosby stuff? Or the Weinstein stuff for that matter, it is all " he said she said"

Needs no evidence. Just a statement from Oprah will make every woman grab a pitchfork.

One of the odd things about the Cosby incident, I don't know if there was any evidence or convictions, but all his TV shows and specials were pulled from the airwaves. While when Michael Jackson was accused of child perverting his music still played and videos still shown.

Michael Jackson was a good dancer and a white woman with white privilege.
