If anything, Batman will cameo everywhere. He'll be Iron Man and Nick Fury combined... But, honestly, it wouldn't surprise me of BatCop became a thing in the DCEU. Maybe after THE BATMAN, Batman goes missing, or whatever, and BatCop becomes Gotham's protector.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

-It's a standalone movie titled Justice League and will have a lighter tone; it's a fun ensemble focusing on the team coming together to take on a common threat.
-The movie will be heavily influenced by Jack Kirby and revolves around the quest for three Mother Boxes; one on Earth, one in Atlantis, and one in Themyscira.
-Justice League takes place months after the events of Batman v Superman.
-A big chunk of the movie will focus on Batman assembling the team, with Superman (sporting some longer hair) set to return a little later on.
-Steppenwolf has yet to be cast and will be one of the main villains. Darkseid's influence will be felt, the Parademons will appear, and Lex Luthor may have some sort of role.

As part of their set report they reveal that there will now only be one movie. In fact, producer Deborah Snyder claims that was the plan all along.
“We were only ever planning, and we are only doing, Justice League,” she told the mag. 'So, no part two then?' “No.”
Okay... but her husband, Zack Snyder, then seems to contradict that. He insinuates that there will still be another Justice League movie in 2019, but it will be a sequel, not a "part 2".
The Batmobile is back... and if you thought the version we saw in Batman V Superman was (too?) lethal, this upgraded vehicle is packing even more firepower. "You have missile launchers, you have cannons, you have machine guns," explained production designer Patrick Tatopoulos.
In addition to the image, we have lots of details on some of the other tech we can expect to see in the movie. Apparently the team will have their own airship called The Flying Fox, which is large enough to fit the Batmobile inside it. If you're imagining the potential action sequences that allows for, you're not the only one. Plus, the League will have access to another bit of Bat-tech: a one-person vehicle known as the Nightcrawler.
"There's an action set piece -- we're gonna take you to this tunnel," producer Deborah Snyder explained. "It's a tunnel they were gonna build between Metropolis and Gotham and it had been abandoned, so the project never really went forward. But there's abandoned remains of what started to be this tunnel. It's pretty hard to get the Batmobile through there, so it's nice to have the Crawler, which can maneuver."
It's also been confirmed that the Dark Knight will don another armored Bat-suit, as well as an updated version of his standard costume, which designer Michael Wilkinson describes as being "even more protective than the classic suit."
Scene Descriptions:
FIRST SCENE:
"Standing on the dirty Gotham Police Station rooftop is Commissioner Gordon wearing a hat, tie, glasses and a long trench coat. He’s standing next to the Bat symbol and talking to Batman, Flash and Wonder Woman as smoke billows from nearby vents. As the camera slowly zooms in, I’m listening to the four of them talk about scientists disappearing. While it’s hard to figure out why they’re talking about missing scientists, it’s very much a comic book panel come to life with the way everyone is standing and framed to the camera. I’m smiling wide from ear to ear.
As I try and hear more of what they’re saying, all of a sudden Cyborg is walking across the rooftop towards our heroes saying that the head of S.T.A.R. Labs has been taken. As he gets closer he stands next to Wonder Woman and I watch as a huge smile appear on her face before turning back to the rest of the group. It seems like she’s extremely happy he’s joined them. I silently wonder if this is the first time all of these heroes have been together. As the group discusses the situation, they decide they’ll need to go somewhere to investigate. As Gordon continues to talk he turns and everyone is gone but the Flash. It’s like he didn’t get the memo that when Gordon turns to talk you need to quickly disappear. Flash says to Gordon, “Do they just do that?” Gordon says nothing as Flash speeds off. It’s funny to watch and I quickly realize the Justice League movie is going to be a lot more fun than I was expecting."
SECOND SCENE:
"Towards the end of the day Snyder showed us an edited scene from Justice League without finished effects. The scene showed Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) arriving at his apartment only to find Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) sitting in his second favorite chair. Bruce is telling Barry that he knows he’s special but doesn’t know how and Barry is trying to deflect everything being said with humor and well-written dialogue. Finally, Bruce has had enough and throws a Batarang at Barry who proceeds to slow down time using his super speed and catches the weapon. As he examines the weapon it dawns on him that Bruce is Batman. As he enters real time Bruce says, “so you’re fast.” Barry then says “so you’re Batman?” Bruce explains he’s putting together a group to battle what’s coming. Before he’s even four seconds into his pitch as to why Barry should join him Barry says, “I’m in.” Bruce is shocked and proceeds to smile, extremely surprised at what just happened. Barry then tells him “I need friends. Can I keep this?” As the scene ended all the reporters in the room were laughing. "
The message from everyone we spoke to on set was clear: Justice League is not Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This will be a fun movie with a lighter tone. And from what I saw being filmed and the clip shown, this indeed appears to be the case. No, it's not all Schumacher-era goofiness now but more, well, Marvel-like in striking that balance between comedy and drama and between its superhero protagonists.
As Batman star Ben Affleck said during a break in filming, "There’s definitely room for more humor. It’s not going to be – DC movies I think, by their nature are a little more – gothic, or mythic rather, excuse me, than some comic book movies are. But that movie was very dark and heavy because it was really rooted in Dark Knight Returns which is a heavy, dark book. And this is not that. This is a step in evolution in that to bring together all of these characters who have had their origins. It’s about multilateralism, and it’s about hope and about working together and the kind of conflicts of trying to work together with others. It’s a world where superheroes exist, so there’s comedy in that necessarily, trying to work with other people and people trying to accomplish goals together is the root of all great comedy in my view. So there’s definitely, hopefully some fun in it. But it’s not unrecognizably these characters or these stories. It’s not turning it upside down."
When asked if the audience and critical reaction to BvS actually influenced Justice League, director Zack Snyder replied, "If it's about putting more fun in the movie or embracing some of the more what I would call -- because I think it's in all the characters inherently, sort of this larger-than-life, big, fun stuff, especially when you're dealing with the Justice League. You can't -- and Flash and with [Aquaman actor Jason] Momoa, when you see, I've been out with Jason and the way that he's interacting with the group, even just in his Jason-ness, the contrast to Ben and to Gal is really interesting and fun."
Snyder added, "For me, it's been amazingly rewarding to work with these characters, because I just love stuff. I love the material, and for me it is personal, a really personal movie. You know, when Batman v Superman first came out, I was like, 'Wow, okay, woof.' It did catch me off-guard. I kind of felt like -- and I have had to, in my mind, make an adjustment, and maybe it is my hardcore take on characters as far as I love them, and I love the material. I do, I take it really deep. So I think the nice thing about working on Justice League is that it is an opportunity to really blow the doors off of the scale and the bad guys and team-building and all the stuff that I think I could justify as a big, modern comic book movie, if that makes any sense."
"Not to give anything away or say anything that would be too telling of where we're headed with the movie, but death is darker than, say, resurrection or team-building. It's just a darker concept, like when you're dealing with Dark Knight or Death of Superman, those kinds of ideas. As opposed to, 'Oh, let's build a team and fight the bad guy!' It's a different energy."
Snyder conceded that they've consciously worked on the tone of Justice League in response to BvS. "Tone has always been the main thing that I go after with a movie, and I really wanted the tone of the three movies to be different chapters and not be the same note that you strike like, 'Okay, there's this again.' I really wanted that, and I do believe that since Batman v Superman came out and we've wrapped our heads around what Justice League would be, I do think that the tone has, because of what fans have said and how the movie was received by some, is that we have kind of put the screws to what we thought the tone would be and I feel crushed it that little bit further."
Snyder's wife and producer Deborah Snyder put it more simply: "I think the darkest where we’ve been is where we’ve been."
She said, "I think every film is a learning experience, right? And we hear what everyone has to say because we care what the fans say. At the same time, every story that we’re telling is a completely different story, and I think what’s really great is that where we were going is kind of what the audience is wanting. We just had to take the characters from somewhere to bring them up to where they are and that was kind of our journey."
"I think the main thing we learned is that people don’t like to see their heroes deconstructed. [laughs] I think that’s hard because it’s people we’ve grown up with and that we care about. They like seeing them in all their glory," said Snyder. She continued, "Both Man of Steel and BvS for sure, were sort of celebrations of those darker comics like Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman. And as I said, I think all of these are individual stories, and I think that this was always meant to be – I know I’m reiterating what I’ve already been saying, but that’s kind of how we saw it. That this was bringing them up and akin to traditional comics that everyone knows and loves."
"Justice League is much more inclusive. I think also you have like, it’s all about the characters too. And we have these two very young characters, Flash and Cyborg. And you know, they’re definitely lighter. I think they’re going to appeal to a younger audience."
Wonder Woman herself, actress Gal Gadot, told us the team itself simply lends the film a different tone. "I think we found a very interesting dynamic. It’s fun, it’s funny. It’s different, each and every character brings their own flavor and color to the team. And for me, you know, personally it’s really fun to play with them. They’re great, they’re talented, and I’m having a great time."
Looks like this will be just one movie, and then Snyder will (hopefully) get the boot. Some stuff sound good, others not so much. I especially dislike "yeah, it's fun, kids will enjoy it, but not as fun as those other movies". I mean, just pick something man. You can't have your pie and eat it too... As for the plot, it sounds like a standard Darkseid story, which I like. Steppenwolf, I'm indifferent towards, but I guess it'll depend on how he's portrayed.
The Knightmare sequence sets up both the coming of Darkseid and INJUSTICE.
They've taken INJUSTICE, where Superman rules Earth after Lois' death and added Darkseid to the equation. In other words, Supes won't be an enemy of Darkseid but rather an ally. Will Darkseid be responsible for Lois' death? Maybe. What's for certain is that he'll do it in a way where Batman gets the blame.
So you've read the JLA script? Awesome. How is Flash introduced? How does Aquaman meet the JLA? Is Granny Goodness in the film?
I have so many questions. I'll try to keep it at three per post. Well actually four, since I need one more answered now:
WHY are you telling me they're not adapting INJUSTICE when you haven't read ****? I know over a dozen people personally who see INJUSTICE all over that Knightmare sequence and Flash vision. I can even link you to sites that are seeing it too.
I swear to God, people don't like something and moronically think it won't be adapted because they don't like it.
I could give a **** about INJUSTICE. It just LOOKS like that's where they're headed.
INJUSTICE showed just how important a role Lois plays in Superman's sanity. People who hate INJUSTICE tend to cite the fact that all it took for Supes to snap was Lois dying.
BvS spends its entirety conveying the message that Lois is the key because she's become his world. If you missed that HUGE plot point in BvS I can actually understand why you're so incapable of seeing the arguably obvious seeds of INJUSTICE.
Sounds good- I like everything that has been revealed- I just hope it doesn't go too far towards MCU tone and humor but Affleck seems very aware of that and won't let it go that far- he clearly has ALOT of say in this now.
It's a Snyder universe and JL will be Batman's second film, so they might kill him too Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me at all if we see Gordon wearing some kind of suit.
