Sounds to me like a confirmation that they're relying on the characters' legacies pre-film to get the audience to care about them during the film.

'Justice League' Trailer Tops YouTube Trailer Views For 2017 So Far

It seems Justice League doesn't even need to be in theaters yet to take the number 1 spot in the rankings.

Not bad for a film that isn't even released yet right? The film now boasts the highest amount of trailer views on Youtube for 2017, overtaking its main superhero competition Thor: Ragnarok. According to Box Office Report, Justice League has amassed 105.009 million views on the video platform, a total that is calculated up until the Saturday before release.

That beats out other 2017 heavyweights like Thor: Ragnarok (96.560 million), Spider-Man: Homecoming (93.870 million), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (85.349 million), Wonder Woman (84.205), and Beauty and the Beast (80.077 million).

Now to be fair, Star Wars: The Last Jedi isn't out until December 15th, so it could still rack up quite a few more views before the total is counted. It would be easy to see that overtaking one of the top 3 spots, but still not sure if it can overtake Justice League.

Justice League's trailers have been mostly well received, and the big promotional push for the film is happening right now. Early screenings are starting to happen as well, and the world of mouth seems to be positive, something Warner Bros. and DC would love to result in another big step forward for their connected universe.

The film is on track for a healthy $110 to $120 million dollar opening weekend, though that could rise if word of mouth is strong in initial showings. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice brought in $166 million on its opening weekend, but Justice League probably won't hit that bar. Still, the movie could have longer legs if audience reception is positive.

I admit Ben looks so bored and disinterested in the publicity part. He gets bursts of enthusiasm and as soon as the microphone goes to someone else his mood drops.
