OMFG, there's a music cue for a scene with Russians... And it's a ****in' balalaika...
And there's a trek called "Mother Russia"... Is this for real???

I'm seriously tired of this **** depictin' Russia as silly commies who should be rescued or destroyed.
More than 25 years has passed since USSR been dissolved, Ukraine is not Russia.
It's a dark period of our history, most of our cultures was destroyed or corrupted.
Makin' it a definitive image of our people that can be made fun of is as insulting as it gets.

No longer interested in seein' this movie.
Too much **** went wrong, I fed up.

Just watch Rocky 4.

89 score worked good in that JL clip where Gordon looks up at Batman perched on the gargoyle.

89 score did not work good in that BvS warehouse clip that was posted a few pages back. Took me right out of the scene.

It works for scenes requiring mood. Sure the 89 flick had a little bit of action but not anywhere close to the warehouse.

You just hit the nail on the head.

Batman perched on Gargoyle during lightning storm = mood

Batman fighting thugs in warehouse = action

Hence why that sweeping 89 score works much better with mood and Hans/Junkie burst driven electronics works best for action.

Solution: Use Both

I don't think it works well for the gargoyle scene either. Elfmann's only works for slick visuals and noir mood, doesn't fit anywhere in the Snyderverse.

I'd argue it'd feel dated and out of place anywhere near modern Batman.

I think if they ever did first appearance Batman, it'd fit perfectly.

imvho.

Listenin' to it right now. My God, it's so freakin' bland and borrows from MCU's scores a lot... Music of these superhero movies is the only thing where people can get creative, yet this is what we get with the most waited DC movie? I hear sounds but think of hundreds of other movies... It hurts, man. :monkey2
I just listened as well, and Riddick is on point. Completely bland. He seems to only think his Batman theme is holy as its peppered throughout but no other is. Williams supes is a few seconds a couple times. Zimmer Supes has been eradicated. And I didn't think it was possible to butcher WW's theme the way he did. No point talking about the rest. You won't remember a thing after the movie is over.

Except his batman theme.
I was about to listen to it last night, but after the first song I preferred to go to sleep :lol

I'm gonna listen to it right now.

Sometimes soundtracks are better after seeing the movie, hopefully this is the case.

Elfman kinda sucks outside batman.

The soundtracks for willy wonka and corpse bride are cringe worthy. Too much jazz for movies that are supposed to be weird.

Well yes but outside of Batman and Spiderman. Can’t forget Spiderman.

All I know is this.

For me “Their War Here” and “Is She With You” from BvS are hands down the best Superhero soundtrack music since JW Superman and 89 Batman.

Those 2 songs obliterate anything from the MCU including TWS and even obliterates Elfman’s Spiderman theme.

That’s how powerful those 2 tracks are.

Oh no, I like the entirety of BvS OST but I particularly like that Their War Here, I was one of the few who liked the WW theme when everybody was that "eeeewww that electric guitarr sounds funny lmao" glad to see someone else liked it.

In fact I had to pause the JL ost for a bit to listen to those 2 songs, ****, night and day diferencie in quality.

I need to go back and listen to the OST for BvS because I don't recall anything being significantly good at all about the music. I also highly doubt it could ever beat TDK soundtrack. Sadly the only good music from MCU are songs created by great bands and not anything from the score.

The soundtrack sounds like basic movie action music with familiar themes thrown in. Nothing by special or spectacular. I tell the soundtracks of old with meaningful music that captured characters and scenes are dying. It all sounds the same and generic.

Elfman used to be a great composer. His early work with Tim Burton (Batman 89/Returns, Pee Wee, Edward Scissorhands) are timeless classics. But honestly I never really liked his stuff past his score for Spider Man. Bland, generic and utterly forgetful. I am in the camp of "why did they get rid of Junkie XL?" His score for Fury Road was absolutely terrific and I loved what he did on BvS. When I heard Elfman was composing JL I knew this movie was no longer going to have kick *** music to accompany any great action scene we may get, or a tender scene where the music kicks in at just that right moment.

Oh god the WW theme is freaking awesome another instant classic in WB long list of classic superhero themes afterall we can’t forget MOS and Nolan’s trilogy of gorgeous themes.

Now that being said I still prefer the BvS version of WW theme mixed in with the MOS music (Their War Here/Is She With You) than I do the new version where they let loose with that super hot Tina Guo cellist.

Now if someone could please step in and correct me if i’m wrong but am I right in thinking that the Tina Guo WW theme is different than her BvS version?
