This is probably the only cut you're getting considering it sounds like the whole thing was reshot considering how bad the CG looks. Metropolis looks like it was printed on a tarp and hung a few feet away from the set. No one could have turned in a good movie when they were shackled to Zack Snyder's "story" beats.
Gaspar, is there a current Sci-fi or comic book movie you enjoyed? What's you opinion of Bladerunner 2049? I thought it was pretty good but if they made a Justice League movie with the same tone and bleak outlook I think it would be horrible. Is that what you're hoping for? I'm not trying to be mean, really, I just am trying to get a sense of where you're coming from.
Blade Runner 2049; loved it, at least as good as the first one, if not better, favorite sci-fi movie is 2001 as well as favorite sci-fi novel, favorite Supes comic is All-Star Supes followed by For The Man Who Has Everything (after a huge gap, mind you), current comics readings; Rebirth mostly and whatever I find.
My liking to the Snyderverse is simple, I liked it for what it originally was conceived as, a dark and moody Elseworlds, a DC universe where everything went wrong, it's the Mastermen, the Flashpoint universe, borderline Earth-3 without the reversed morals, I think darthkostis summed it up perfectly, it's the Ultimates for DC, it's ancient mythology, it's the epic of Gilgamesh with capes mixed with 90's cheesy histrionicism, it was a perfect story for a short Snyder trilogy, and it would've ended perfectly with MadMax/Injustice Justice League, not whatever this is.
My ideal Supes movie is part Donner, part 2001, the only thing I'd take of BR2049 is Villeneuve's eye, Interstellar soundtrack mixed with a bit of John Williams, written by Grant Morrison, I even have a trilogy/quadrilogy path.
You think I believe the Snyderverse is ideal for a universe, it's not, it's ideal for a glimpse of a multiverse, if you frequented the thread more often you'd know that I'm probably the biggest supporter of a DCEU Reboot.
Marvel hasn't made an objectively bad movie yet. They've certainly flirted with it, but DC has done everything in it's power to make objectively bad movies ever since they let Zack Snyder direct BvS.

As much as Marvel has made bank with their movies, that does not equate to quality. Sure, the MCU has had some great flicks, but it also has its share of films that were dull and boring, or bad
In interviews, Roven and cast members pledged their loyalty to Snyder and his vision for the franchise, one they say incorporated a changing tone before Whedon’s involvement.
I may be in the minority but I'm glad it's more Sydneresque than Whedonesque.
Yeah.. All this promise of a better movie and it really did nothing to improve it. If you like BVS you will like the DC. If you were meh on BvS then you may like it a tad more. If you hate it... Nothing about this DC is going to make you like it better

I never said anything about the amount of cash they make. I was talking about the filmmaking craft itself, but since you're bringing it up, its embarrassing that DC can't make as much of profit with icons like Batman and Superman than Marvel did with D~listers like The Guardians of the Galaxy.
