Rey catching the saber followed by Ford's performance on the bridge and the Falcon chase in 3D.

I don't like Rey catching the saber as it makes no sense.

I can't count 3D... If a gimmick is needed to make your scene or movie better I don't really count it ala Avitar.

Might as well throw in my two cents here.

TFA is such a hollow fan service movie that I honestly can't believe anyone walked out of the theatre back in December 2015 actually thinking that film lived up to the hype. The only thing I remember about it is Han's death - and I've seen it twice.

I don't think it's horrible or anything... just extremely "meh".

Agreed. I might be a little too generous with the "great" label but I find it easy to just give it the same pass that I do ROTJ.

For me great SW = RO/SW/ESB

And really good SW (with some great moments in each) = TLJ/TFA/ROTJ

This got me thinking so I created a thread.

:lol

I hope Affleck gets one more chance in a good Batman film. I liked JL but Bats turned out to be a fifth wheel and a watered down jokester thanks to some studio interference

I've watched "Ultimate Fan Edition" last night.
It wasn't great by any means but I enjoyed the whole thing a lot more.
Still a horrible mess, of course.

^I'll have to skim through that, thanks for posting it.

Costume designer Michael Wilkinson on Supes' black suit:

"When we were prepping Justice League, at first it seemed that it might be a logical choice for the look of Superman when he's resurrected," Wilkinson said. "Zack is extremely respectful and passionate about the depiction of Superman in comic books and graphic novels, and traditionally when he is resurrected, he is in the black suit."

"But as the tone of the film developed and we were in pre-production, the filmmakers felt that the classic red and blue suit seemed more appropriate to our story and our script," Wilkinson said. "It seemed that a more positive, upbeat image of Superman was what was needed – the idea of hope and that the world could in fact be saved was important, so that's the direction that we went."

Pretty much exactly how everyone assumed it went at this point with the change of tone WB did right in the middle of everything.

Sime diehard Superman fans might disagree with the “Zach is extremely respectful about the depiction of Superman” part.

Extreme yes

Respectful is open for debate lol

the whole thing is on youtube little by little :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl:rotfl

So I still couldn’t watch it.. :lol :lol

It’s just too horribly boring and this turd cannot be polished. Would have to go back to before the whole thing was compromised.. or start over.

Rewatched this flick tonight. As much as it looked great in 4k the movie as a whole is a let down even more then my first initial watch. For some reason I found some fun out of JL when I first watched it in theatres but for the second time watch? Nope it was worst for me. I still think it's a step beyond BVS but in a way I gain an appreciation for BVS then JL which was a mess of it's own in so many levels. Feel bad for all actors involved in the film. CG still looked garbage. The resurrection of Superman was still awesome as hell but that was about it. Don't know just got no fun watching it the second time at home it's a wreck made by the studio and Whedon that damn CG stache is horrendous. Dumb mistake I was hoping to maybe still have a bit of fun but got a bored and really lousy feeling after watching it again it made me think back to BVS when I rewatched it and somehow got an appreciation for that movie. How you ask? Don't even know maybe because Snyder was making a film he wanted and not roped and bent over by Warner Bros.

Yeah, I felt the same. Thought it was silly fun in the theater but just embarrassing when I watched it again at home.

Yeah, you can see the striped red tie and blue suit at his wake in BvS when Ma Kent places the picture of Kevin Costner with him.

Weird how a home viewing can change things. Movie just fell flat and the fun was sucked out I'm glad I didn't actually pick up a copy and got it cheap digitally on sale.
