Captain America is "John Cena" big in the comics and Evans worked. 5'8 would do just fine for Wonder Woman. That would still make her taller than half her male costars. :monkey1

In First Avenger, yes. Wimpy, egg-headed Cap from Avengers, not so much. Didn't he have trouble keeping on the mass?

I agree. Evans did appear to be a lot smaller in TA. I guess he didn't hit the gym that much during pre-production like he should have? :dunno

I still say Lynn Collins would be perfect for Wonder Woman. I want an adult Justice League. Not a bunch of CW or ****ty young looking actors.

Wonder Woman has to have a sophisticated and elegant look to her with a lot of poise and power. I don't see that at all in that girl post above to be honest.

This :lecture

If I want the CW version of Justice League I'll watch Arrow Or Smallville :monkey4

I'm sold. Can she act?

Evans looked as big or bigger than he was in TFA in the scene where he's taking out the punching bags. They just gave him that dumb water polo cowl that accentuated his less than hulking neck. With the cowl off he looked suitably buff in the suit. Not comic buff of course but suitable for a live-action flick.

Not really, no. He looked smaller hitting the bags too.

I thought that was filmed during the Cap shoot since we saw him in the same setting/outfit at the end credits for Captain America.

Cap in Avengers is w/o a doubt the worst looking major superhero in a movie in current memory. That helmet was the problem, without he was ok, but with it, all I can think is dildo head saves the day.

:exactly::goodpost:

Needed more realism. :lecture

I loved the TFA paramilitary/hero look. Think they went too far into the goofy look for his costume for Avengers.

What is MOST important is acting talent. Get people in there who can deliver. Anything physical that needs to be overcome can be done with either CGI or at times a pair of heels or a box. If DC/WB goes looks first and foremost this thing is destined to fail.
I think you've really gotta make a compromise. If they just wanted great actors, we would have all these troll looking guys and gals who are working in indie films. Looks matter. It shouldn't be the only factor, but it has to be a major one IMO.

Looks do matter but any actor can get pumped up for a role.

What im wondering is if Warners is going for a younger fresh modern league or a older darker team. Like what ages will they be?

I hear people throwing names out like John Hamm and then a picture of that chick as WW. Age can be changed to but there has to be some common ground. Like Caville is 28? I think, is that there demographic?
