That's a do not want for me.

I feared that **** would leak into future films. Joseph Gordon Levitt, none Bruce Batman, what a bad idea.

I was hoping they'd just reboot the whole thing and go back to square one since they ****ed up Batman in TDKR. Here's hoping that isn't true. **** continuity.

Yeah, can't win.

I'd just reboot Bruce Wayne, have WB throw all their money at Bale (provided the scripts are good enough and are quality), then bring him back as a retconned/rebooted Batman.

An alternate, post-TDK universe if you will, where anything can happen.

- OR -

Find another actor for Batman/Bruce Wayne and still reboot it. Just don't call it a reboot or focus on the fact that it's a reboot. Make a new story in a new setting with a new interpretation of Batman. Make it be standalone series again, or, if you must, incorporate it into the Superman films (and other DC films) to lead up to a Justice League film (something I don't care to even see).

I'm fine either way honestly, so long as the stories are written well and movies are top quality.

Blake as Batman, continuity with Nolan's trilogy
OR
Completely new Batman, blank slate.

Either works for me

Recast Bruce Wayne. I don't need another origin story. Batman exists, that's all the audience needs to know. The Nolan trilogy is done. Move along.

If they want to use a Batsuit sorta like TDK, I understand. But it needs to be Bruce.

I think that WB should look at what's staring them right in the face: the new 52. I said it in the TDKR thread, and I'll say it again here. I can't help but think that part of DC's plan, when it came to the New 52, was to clean things up enough to be more accessible to the film department. The suits keep the classic elements, while providing a somewhat modern look. I could see Snyder and Capullo's Batsuit on a theater screen more than I could Neal Adams'. The same goes for The Flash, GL, and the rest of them. The stories, even, are only taking the absolute best of the previous continuity, and cleaning up the rest.

Say what you will about Johns' and Lee's run on Justice League, but some of the exact things that people hated about that book were things that people loved about The Avengers. Super heroes fighting over misunderstandings? Check. Getting together and bickering like normal folk? Check. Facing a big bad who requires them to set aside their differences and unite? Check, yet again. WB's got the map; they've got the location marked with an X; they just need to remember where they put it.

I actually don't care so much if Levitt is cast as Wayne, but Batman must be Bruce Wayne, not some lame ass movie concoction (which is what I am assuming this rumor is about). Wouldn't shock me if they did it, though, because apart from Batman WB seems to not get it very well when it comes to DC. C'mon film producers, let's make Spider-Man the Ultimates Latino guy, make Superman some kind of glob of space goo, and change Captain America into the psychotic 50s version while we're at it. Superman needs to be a dad, also :lol Who gives a **** about the iconic characters folks have cared about in comics for 70 some odd years?

This news actually has me lessening my expectations of Superman, because my faith in them is going even further below where it was.

Transformers 4 has a better chance at being decent then JL.

:lol

Transformers 4 will have Marky Mark

There are some things in this world that even Marky Mark can't fix. Michael Bay is one of 'em. Anyway, stop trolling or get out.:lecture There is literally nothing that is known of this film. Everything is just speculation at this point, so, for you to be saying that "it's going to suck" before anything other than a possible release date has been announced? That's trolling at its finest (or worst).
