KFC's Double Down Sandwich

So I decided to make my own double-down.

Two 4 oz chicken breasts
breaded in my egg white, lemon juice, habenero crumb mix
a slice of pepper-jack cheese and lettuce and a slice of tomato.

I baked the chicken and then added the cheese and veggies while hot.

Let me tell you that thing was DAMN GOOD!!!!

I figure this sandwich was only about 460 calories total. Not bad and I feel FULL!!!

I don't get why the "Healthy People" on this board think we are stupid? ____ man! i like to eat what i want once in a while! You have to be a retard not to know this is not the best thin you can eat.

Believe me, P!tu, people don't think you're stupid just because of the food you eat. :monkey3

I lit a cig after every run when I was in the Marines. Guess what? Out of about 800 some dudes I was always first or second. :lol And that guy has a ____ing ARMY hat on. So that figures. :lol

OPEN challenge to Skiman. Here it is!

Skiman, yo my friend. Since the double down is SOOOOO bad here is my challenge. I would like to take you on a run. Running is just about the oldest thing in the book when it comes to fitness and cardio. I will eat nothing but double downs for a whole day. I will continue to smoke as I do now and drink heavily the night before the run. You can do whatever you wan't. Go to bed early, not eat, whatever it is that you do. We can have someone document this. What are your thoughts?

I applaud your balls, but in Ski's defense, just because someone can run fast doesn't mean they are healthy or have a long life ahead of them.

No no no. I'm not saying run fast. I'm saying run. Ski would kill me in weight lifting. KILL ME! But IMO cardio and being able to support your own body weight is MORE important. When I was in the service I ran into many so called "weight lifters". They were the first guys to literally cry and I do mean tears because they couldn't carry their own bulk around. If people want to talk about health the only true test IMO is an endurance run or sometime of endurance test.
 
For the record, I have nothing against anything in this post. Not personaly a big fan of burgers/steak/"chicken" patties that are made out of TVP (texturized vegetable protein - god, just saying that phrase does make you gag a little), but "whole wheat waffles with Greek yogurt, blueberries and almonds" sounds delightful.

I try to eat healthy the majority of the time, but once in a blue moon a treat like a Double Down can really make my day! :joy

But maybe if LaMelnik had a DD it would open the floodgates of a gluttonous fast food binge! :horror

I'm not a big fan TVP believe me. Yet I get real sick with grease. I get real bad IBS aka the hershey squirts. Instead of taking meds, I stay away from most fast food and restaurants that offer greasy foods.

Believe me if I didn't have bad IBS, I'd eat one of these no problem.

But since I can't I take the same idea of most fast food and make it at home in a healthy version that eliminates the grease and items that upsets my stomach and gives me the instant squirts.

It sucks cause most times, when I am out with friends, I am stuck with a bed of lettuce and veggies with nothing on them cause the only dressing they have is to oily for me. :(

BTW - the waffles with yogurt, blueberries and chopped almonds is AWESOME! I'd eat it even if I didn't have the stomach issues.

I think this may have a lot to do with fast twitch and slow twitch muscles. Again, how far someone can run is not the only judge of how healthy they are or how long they will live.

This is my favorite recipe!

2 parts Franks Red Hot and 2 parts extra virgin olive oil. It depends on how many wings you are making. Saute about 10 cloves of garlic in a half stick of butter. Drain the butter after the garlic is just browned. Then squeeze about three lemons into the garlic butter mixture. The garlic should be minced by the way. Then add about a cup of freshly chopped parsley. After that shake about 2 or three shakes of cayenne pepper. HARD shakes. Best wings on this Earth. It's good on shrimp too!
