lol Mark Millar said Carrey was a huge fan of the first , and supposedly he's hugely anti gun and if he was so bothered he shouldn't have signed up for the movie. He sure put his morals on the backburner until he got paid though. Then he gets an attack of conscience once check is cashed.

He did nothing wrong. So the guy was affected by a hugely sad event. He has kids, and just doesn't want to market the film. Doesn't mean he's going to **** on it. He just doesn't want to do any press junket crap.
No one isn't going to see this movie because Carry isn't supporting it. He's not condemning it.

Except it happened AFTER he shot the movie. Not before. A lot of people became anti gun right after Sandy Hook. Which shook a lot of people.

I like Jim Carrey and all but correct me if I'm wrong, we don't exactly see him donating his paycheck from the movie to the victims of Sandy Hook!
Seems like a bit of a hypocrite who is making excuses to duck out on his promotional duties for the film.
