Exactly.

Going into this film expecting depth is about the worst thing one could do. Hope you enjoy it. I know I did.

I just expect it to be on par with the first, or at least a worthy sequel. No more, no less. I expect nothing of it that the first one didn't accomplish.

But I'm simply not a fan of Millar's comics, and think Vaughn and Goldman really elevated the characters and tone, and feel Wadlow seems to have missed the mark. We'll see. I'll likely be watching it this weekend.

Fair enough. I know I'm a bit biased, as I'm a big fan of Millar in general. I love the Kick-A$$ series and Supreme was one of my favorite books of the last few years, in fact.

Watching the first one now. It's visually impressive film. Each character has their own specific colors. Great camera work as well. As well as lighting.

I saw none of this in the trailers for KA2. But I'll find out Sunday. Who knows. But I heard it was pretty iffy.

Going this weekend at the Alamo so no matter what it will still be a good time.

The Alamo experience is still very new to me.

It was a good flick, but thats it.

None of the scenes came close to matching Big Daddy's assault on the warehouse or HitGirl's penthouse attack from the first movie. All the onscreen frenetic action of HG was much better in the first one. Not saying this is a bad movie, but imo just fell way short of the first. Vaughan's style and drama was desperately missing and there were a couple scenes that just purely needed pulled out of the trash heap and redone, but they were left in and just dragged...the after credits scene made me wish I'd left 4 minutes beforehand, maybe they should have went for the mid credits scene cause I felt it was a fairly lame scene to stick around for.

On the plus...Jim Carey was great... I thought he stole his portion of the movie, although my wife said afterward she thought he was creepy, I loved him as the Colonel, I think he owned it. HG's costume looked much better, even if I missed her fighting style from the first flick. There were plenty of great one liners as well, which I won't put any yet so as not to spoil the fun.

Don't watch the first right before you go see it and it might not seem such a big contrast, but yeah, I did that and....

Still can't wait to own this.

Also, the Todd casting switch was kind of jarring, for a smaller role, the new kid seemed to stank it up.

Saw it and really liked it. When I grow up I wanna be Kick asss ..... Or Bad Grandpa, anyway one of those. My 12 yr old daughter now wants to be Hit Girl for Halloween
