Re: Kick *** 2

I agree with Evilface, they showed way to damn much.

I don't know, I feel about this movie the way I felt about the second Matrix movie... they started it waay too late and..... been there done that really. Hit Girl will not have the same appeal, she's too old now. It was more of a wow factor because she was a little girl.

Don't get me wrong, the movie will be funny and entertaining but I don't think it will be as fun as the first one. I could be wrong.

Glad I didn't watch it. :dance

Re: Kick *** 2

the first one is one of my favorite movie of the last 5 years...cant wait for this one..:)

Re: Kick *** 2

My main problem with this one is that it seems to be a bit too much like the comic, and less about being a sequel to the first movie. The movie and the comic differed quite a bit in tone and feel, and I far, far prefer the movie over the comic.

This one seems like it's going to lack the Vaughn/Goldman character magic, and be too close to Millar's work for my taste.

Re: Kick *** 2

I too, am looking forward to this! What a great way to end the summer movie season! :rock

Re: Kick *** 2

I'm looking forward to seeing this but have to say it looks a bit generic, like all stuff we've already seen. From the commercials I can say for sure, the novelty of Hit Girl is completely gone which is a big part of what made the first so unique along with watching a regular kid try to realisticly fight crime. I'm just not getting my hopes up, without Vaughn this could be very mediocre.

Even from the very first trailer I wasn't feeling it.

These aren't comics made into movies, they were co developed; it is what it is as the saying goes.

Without Vaughan as director, it may lose its feel, my hope is that his producer role wasn't only on paper and he had some input into the movie.

Re: Kick *** 2

Jeremy Jahns liked it a lot too. I will see this tonight

Re: Kick *** 2

Saw the movie last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

For some reason at times it didn't seem as "fun" to me at the first film but it was pretty damn close. Still some memorable lines.:lol

No spoilers in saying this--the final act alone is worth the price of admission.:clap:lol

Re: Kick *** 2

so is it true about the shaky cam in the action scenes? Jeremy Jahns mentioned something about it.

I seriously HATE shaky cam.... I hope this movie doesn't have that much on it.
