just finished the campaign.

freaking awsome !

bing on Killzone4

I don't think KZ4 will be happening anytime soon, this one was a flop compared to KZ2 in terms of sales.

"The sales for Killzone 3 have been disappointing in its first week, selling only 500K units, which is a third of what Killzone 2 did in its first week of release.

Killzone 2 sold 2.58M units in its lifetime, and considering the budget Sony pumped into 3, it would be a disaster if it only managed to move 860K, if the same ratio continues for 3‘s lifetime. While it’s unlikely Killzone 3 will sell less than 1M, it might not outsell its predecessor.

The original Killzone for the PlayStation 2 sold 760K units."

crap, I guess I'll stick to my figures. maybe I can gut out my old CRT Monitor and stick the figures inside...hmmm

So I started playing this yesterday night (got it in from Gamefly). The graphics are great but the sound design is terrible. So far I'm enjoying it overall.

I'm surprised how quickly I got bored of the online play. I only play warzone and I find that I need to be a Tactician or Engineer almost all the time. Otherwise my team will get spawn camped and there will be no repaired ammo boxes (a slight exaggeration). I'm sitting as a Colonel I (~425K points, might have overplayed...) and haven't touched the game in a week. It doesn't help that Dragon Age 2 came out this week.

The online isn't very robust. 3 games modes, and about 8 maps isn't much...and the with the loss of custom matches it weakens it even more so.

I finished the single-player campaign this weekend and replayed a couple of levels for some trophies I missed, but I don't think I'll bother with the multiplayer.

It was a fun ride while it lasted, though. No complaints. Now onto Dead Space 2...

Yeah I agree that it gets a little old fast. There's a map pack that's supposed to be coming soon so I hope that adds some variety, but playing Warzone is really getting tiresome for me as it's the same map all the time.

love the game play but they do indeed need a map pack.
Outside of warzone there are actually other maps. Not sure why Warzone has fewer maps,,,, :monkey1

interesting you mention that. I think the sounds its one of my favorite aspects. its engulfing and really immerses in the environment IMO. ...

I think it's more the fact that each lobby just repeats the same map. I usually have to back out and join another one to get a different map.

i have only noticed this with the downloaded retro map pack... it seems to have a unique lobby. the other maps have a player vote and everyone seems to be into variety.

The Stahl Arms Lab map is the only one that looks promising, the other DLC map just looks like Mawlr Graveyard, just brown junk everywhere.

I don't think I'll pick it up as multiplayer was beginning to grate on my nerves.
