Just finished it. Thought it was awesome, and hoping they find a way to keep the universe going. I agree with others that the last mission blew balls. The rest were pretty awesome, but I miss the gritty levels from the second game.

i sure hope they continue with the KZ universe, there something about it thats really awesome, maybe its the gritty look/feel of it which was missing in this game. i was quite happy with the improved controls though and overall this game was very enjoyable, the star wars level was not necessary imo.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if we found out that Helghan had another fleet orbiting another planet. With the Visari, Stahl, and Orlock dead who will lead Helghan now?? The guy that looked like Colonel Sanders??

My Collector's Steelbook arrived today from Game.uk in mint condition!!!

yeah but
somebody survived, most likely Stahl bailed on time cuz 1 minute or so into the credits did you see a cutscene where the helghast are looking for survivors and see ship or pod, and say "welcome home sir" wonder who they were talking to.

btw, awesome steelbook man, the helghast symbol would look really cool as a tattoo.

The campaign I really enjoyed, and multiplayer while still fun is flawed and needs many updates and patches...they took out a lot of features from KZ2, that has a lot of users over at the killzone.com forums in a riot.

Ehh, I'm not a big fan of community play, Short campaigns are alright with me because I'm lucky if I can find an hour or two a day to play. Like on KZ3, it took me 5 days to go through the campaign.

Just played through it again, and finally watched the credits.
Hopefully it's Stahl because he seemed to be more aggressive with dropping the heavy artillery on the ISA.

I"m going to start my Elite playthrough this weekend. We'll see if my controller and blood pressure can survive it.

Oh man, some sections just on the regular difficulty were frustrating and had me dying multiple times or near death. I can only image what elite is like.

It's not worth me losing me hair over I know that much, good luck to you sir.

Finished the Elite campaign earlier this morning. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. IMO Killzone 2 was tougher. The hardest parts for me were the dumb vehicle-rails portions, and the MAWLER fight.

just got passed the jetpack mission.
wow this game looks unreal.

the controls are so much better then K2.
I am so hooked on this game.

tried a bit of online its cool but I wont be spending any time on it after i am done with campain.

You gotta give a bit of the online some love Solid. Games have no life really if you don't wear out the MP.

may be late to the party but i just picked up this game on Friday and have to say that I'm loving it. Even someone like me who's not Mr. First Person Shooter (because I'm not that good) can still have fun with this game. Good story too.

Ha, the story has been almost every reviews nitpick as to how weak the narrative and character development is. The two that spring to mind are here, but every review I've read have cited the weak story and dropped multiplayer modes as the two biggest downfalls.

From IGN:
"Every action you do in Killzone is immersive; the combat more intense and savage than other shooters. It's this design that makes Killzone 3 so engrossing and fun despite its weak story."

1up:
"Sometimes I want my first-person shooter campaigns to be dirty, gritty, and full of testosterone. That's what Killzone 2 was about, and I loved it. Unfortunately, Killzone 3 delivers a campaign that's nothing more than a series of poorly constructed story sequences and characters that change from being bad-ass comrades to a couple of BFF's caught in the middle of a war against a bickering Helghast. "

I thought the story was quite good. Nothing award winning, but definitely something Michael Bay would give us. I haven't been dropped/kicked from a MP yet, and I feel that it's better than CoD right now.

I literally have 2 trophies left to get. The dumb "Team Player" and "Automata for the People" online trophies. :rock

:exactly: ..why even buy the game in the first place if your only going to throw it aside once you finish the story:dunno(and most games are much shorter these day's) i try to buy games that will last, especially now being in this 1/6 hobby.
