Boba Fe....

No, wait a second.

I think I would say Anakin right now, but it will soon be Obi-Wan. The quality of Kit is great, but he is a secondary character so it's tougher to single him out as number one. On the other hand, one of the coolest things about Anakin is his arm, and you can't really see it through the clothes. (Except for when you try to move it slightly and it falls right off.) Kit's head and tentacles are his cool feature and they are very visible. My main problem with Luke is the big gap in his thigh, where the pants go into the large crease of the leg joint. No matter what I do, I can't make it look natural.

Oh, and I just noticed that his arms are a little long...

So the more I think about it, the more Kit pulls ahead.

It does seem like Kit is everyone's number 1 right now. Must be because he's new...and there's no glaring problems.

To fix Luke's thighs, try some rolled paper towel or cotton balls inside those gaps. It will fix the problem.

How do you get them up his pant leg?

(Sorry, I actually don't collect 12" figures all that much and I am not used to this kind of experimentation, adjustment, and futzing...)

I beg your pardon?

:D

Just open his one-piece jumpsuit -- and use your finger to stuff them down into the cracks.

Yikes, this is sounding even worse than your comment.

Does his belt come off? I don't want it to be too tight a fit when I start shoving things down his pants!!

(Please don't take any of this out of context, folks...)

Yes, its easy, just be careful.

Plus, you can redress him more to your liking. (this is where one of your famous comic pictures comes in)

Thanks for the compliments. The photos came out pretty good overall. Got a chance to try out my new camera so we before SDCC.

Mine was scheduled to arrive tomorrow at 5:00 PM but he arrived today at 2:00 PM... Yeah!

He looks great! I'm glad I did not pass on this one. When he was originally announced, I almost did not buy him.

Can't wait for the others (Obi-Wan, ect...) to arrive!

:emperor

I know it was a whole entire freaking page ago but I just have to thank josh for the doiley pic... Between that and Tomandshell's swing-set pics, they are things I look forward to most besides actually getting the figure myself.

I got Kit earlier today!
All around great figure. No problems with arms being too long, falling off, or with a goofy expression. At first I wasn't too sure about Kit's expression, but it really does look better in person.
Mine also doesn't have dirty teeth.
The only complaint I might make is that he only comes with a single pair of hands, a first for 12" Sideshow Star Wars figures. I would've liked an extra left griping hand since Kit's hands are so unique, there wouldn't be any chance of seeing a suitable replacement with a future character.

I also had to check and see if his basic body is cast in a green pea color, it is. Sideshow really cares about the details. I also found that his blue shirt is just a collar incase anybody wants to know. It's not a problem with me, it helps to reduce the bulkiness of his chest. Redressing the figure is a bitch so I suggest only doing it if you really have to.

Overall I think Kit is my favorite. Anakin's arm falling off constantly is the only thing holding him back from being No. 1.

OK, so I do want to redress my Kit -- fix the pants, tunic, etc -- but your comment has stopped me. Why is it a bitch? Is it the belt that's the problem, or just the head getting in the way?

For me it was the head getting in the way and trying to get his collar to sit flat against his body while trying to pull his tunic on. That's really the only problem.
If you want his clothes to sit better, I really don't think you can do any better then the way he comes with the exception of tugging down on his tunic to get them to lay closer to his body.

Thanks for the tip. I'm gonna give it a try. I may "tape" his collar piece down to help the issue. Also, my Kit's tunic "shoulder straps" are falling off his shoulders. Its very sexy, but I think I need to fix them.

Also, for those of you who said Kit wasn't top heavy... r u kidding? My Kit wobbles like a hammer on end.

If it's just his shoulder strap thingies then you shouldn't have any problem. Just remove his belt; it connects in the back by a black colored clasp, just pull on one end back while holding his belt against his waist and it should come off. It connects by two small posts that push into two holes made in the faux leather belt on each side of the clasp. Then unsnap the tabard thing in the back and reposition.
And yeah Kit is top heavy.

I'm surprised at how many people are still having problems with Anakins arm falling off. I wrapped a couple layers of nylon plumber’s tape around the peg on his gauntlet arm and it hasn't fallen off since. I even have the arm facing down holding his saber, so gravity's doing its thing.

If you're unfamiliar with plumber's tape, it is used for connecting threaded pipes and hoses. It is has no adhesive so it won't damage or leave any residue behind and it is very stretchy so you can wrap it around the peg very tightly. Then just give it a nice little extra push and no more picking his arm up off your shelf anymore, the tape might bunch a little, but trust me that thing is not falling off anymore.

wohooo!!! finally got me tracking #. should be here in couple of days. :D

why doesnt sideshow keep your tracking number listed in your account?? i need to email them for thetracking number again. mine was supposed to be here yesterday but nothing yet.
