Lack of 1/6 Episode I figures

I do want Obi-Wan , but Ep I is my least favorite out of the 6 films so after Kenobi I'm not really interested in anyone else so the lack of characters doesn't really bother me.

Definitely the Naboo soldiers and pilots. They have a great Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon look and feel to them. Especially now looking at Go Hero's Buck makes me want them even more!

I think Hasbro did a great job with some of the TPM figures they did. Sebulba, pit droids, Captain Tarpals, Jar Jar, Boss Nass (despite his poor articulation) Kaadu, the battle droids were pretty good, and so was Watto even if he was much too large.

I'd like to see SSC tackle Padme in her casual disguise, Sabe (cause its Keirra Knightly she would probably sell.), Senator Palpatine, Obi Wan and a two pack of slave Anakin and Jedi Padawan Anakin.

Ep 1 is screaming for more figures almost as bad as ESB is.

Once we get Vader and the SDCC set I think they need to lay off ANH for a while, unless its for Chewie and the droids or Greedo.

Not sure what you guys mean, Stormtroopers shipped a couple months ago, Clone Trooper quite recently, now the Han in Carbonite setup, Vader's about a month away, Admiral Piett is likely soon, Luke and Han as Stormtroopers.

I'd say Carbo Han doesn't count. It's an environment, not a figure. Which means that six months in, we've only gotten a few figures, AOTC Obi, the Stormtrooper and Utapau. I'm not counting announcements because we don't have those in-hand and like Vader (who'll be over a year after the announcement), there's no guarantees on release dates.

I totally agree. I can't see wanting to buy new versions of Jar Jar, Captain Tarpals, or Watto since the Hasbro ones really are good enough, and super cheap. And it's not like these are characters I want to spend $100+ on.

I also recently got the Hasbro version of Queen Amidala in her red senate gown (don't have a picture of mine, but it's this one) for like $12 new and was really impressed with how good it was overall. A bit Barbie-ish, but still very impressive in terms of the outfit. Still need to get Boss Nass.

I was actually surprised when I came up with only the following E1 figures as being interested in:

1. Obi-Wan (obviously)
2. "Ani" (provide pod race helmet as well.)
3. Battle Droid

I would rather see Queen Amidala with theed gown (light up bulbs) in PF format rather than in 1/6... and since I'm happy with my Obi custom (Sunoch hs with Darren paint) there aren't too many I'd be clamouring for in 1/6.

Now, AOTC has really been under-represented. Dooku? Jango? Anakin? Padme (Geonosis arena)?... At least we finally got an Obi.

I'd be in for an Obi-Wan but I'd pass on Ani unless he had his jedi robes from the end too.
The Battle droid should come as a two pack though. I honestly don't see these costing much if ANY more then they did for hasbro or ertl to produce.
Heck, I might just go buy another droid with STAP model and re-work it a little.

However.... I would DEFINITELY buy a droideka.
