I think it's fitting that Bespin Han was announced during a Toy Fair as well. I have a feeling Lando may end up on a different body though.

Granted I didn't mention him with Chewie, but the part you highlighted, notice I said basic heroes, meaning pretty much humans because there's pre-existing bodies. Yoda, Chewie and the droids are specialty items that they couldn't just whip together today.

Yoda really isn't a hero of the OT. Beyond giving Luke some tips, he didn't do much lol.

i hope so.

Haha well I was speaking more to me finding a different body once he is released because I don't see SS changing the Pro at this point. You think they would have caught this before hand. This is why I wish the Star Wars line would have stayed with bucks, if only for consistency. If we are going to have weird scale changes within the lines... we'd be better off going the HT route with just NO scale and all the figures are the same height.

haha Sorry Marc, just calling it like I see it anymore. It's not that SS got lazy, but I don't think they really thought out the Pro. Makes me sad it does, because there is a lot of potential in the body but it just seems so very small. This is another thing that brought back my love of Hasbros small scale line, you didn't have to worry about finding a new body to fix up a figure, just wait a while for Hasbro to re-do the figure. Seeing as we are only going to get one pass at each version of a character I want it to be the best it can be and with the Pro I don't feel we are getting that due to the size of the body.

The weird thing with the Pro is it almost seems like it was designed without a head attached or testing with clothes on it or positioning it next to Bucks and apparently even armored figures, like it was designs with a rough size idea and then when put into use some issues show.

Maybe now with 3 new bodies under their belt though, SSC could develop Prometheus 2.0 with improvements. I'd think now that they understand the enginering aspect, beefing it up wouldn't be too hard.

Well lets just hope SS become aware of the problem and take the steps to fix it before Lando is released.

With three figures out on it though, you'd have thought the issues would have been noticed already. I'm already hunting down a TT to put Indy on (Toth SHOULD be short, so he's good on a Pro) and working a few fixes on a custom but... I am not overly thrilled with the Pro at this point.

I would think if they felt it was an issue, that big group shot of Stormies, Vader and Admiral Baggins wouldn't have been posted showing all 3 bodies and how they scale with one another.

I hear people on the shortness, but to me more than the shortness is just the general build. The heads look big because they're scale compared to the scale of the body isn't in sync. If you stuck a Medicom head on the Pro, it'd look right, but the 1/6 standard Sideshow and Hot Toys use for head sizes doesn't seem to match it very well.

Oh I agree it's the general build as well. For some things the build works great but the weakness in SS's bodies have always been the fact that they are meant to be covered in layers. Tight fitting outfits do not look well on ANY of their figures. Yes the Pro is a step up from the Buck but I think we lost something along the way.

It's a good post and I hope it gets noticed. I know when Indy first came out I cheered the Pro body. Problem is that it is NOT being scaled properly. It's a good body and I do like it, but some things are just off about it. If I am going to pay almost $90 after shipping for a figure I want the scale to be perfect and not have a short figure when compared to others in an existing line.

Hot Toys has messed up scale a bit too. Their Bruce Wayne sculpt is quite small, but it scales nicely with the Pro.

I don't have any SS star wars figures yet, in fact the only SW's figure I have at this point is the Medicom Jango Fett. He is on the RAH and that is shorter so that should be in scale with the SS Pro figures.

The 'Pro' being tiny is a major concern of mine. My Indy figure looks like a doll next to the much taller ANH Han...

Leg extensions would be an immediate way to correct it, I would think...
