Other than Indiana Jones, what figures have had the Prometheus bodies?

The Harbinger too. All the loose issues were fixed with him. Now just height and shoulders.

Ugh... how embarassing would it be if after dogging on Medicom bodies all this time we get stuck with a short-ass collection of figures :lol

Thankfully, height isn't the only issue with Medis.

I'm not whining. I'm just saying that if you simply increase the height of the Pro without addressing the narrow shoulders, it's going to look awkward. For example, the Indy figure, even with the jacket, looks like he has a big melon. Now stretch the figure's height and it's might look more pronounced.

Indy's hat and the jacket made his shoulders look non-existent. I gave the Pro every chance and finally caved, porting the figure over to the TrueType. While the TT makes him look like he's shrugging, it rounds out the figure better proportionately and it's night-and-day better than the Pro's slouching look.

Oops, completely forgot about this preorder. Sold out in 4 minutes? Wow. I'm on the wait list but at 750 don't really expect it to convert.

With the com being "eh" you could always just nab the regular. I don't think his regular ES will be that large either.

Nope unlike starwars the joes never really got there heights listed and snake eyes height and build has varried drasticly between artists. I never pictured him drasticly tall so i'd say between 5'10" and 6' would be a good range depending on your prefrence.

I know that this is apples and oranges but I remember that the Hasbro Lando was on shelves forever, maybe they thought there was a larger fan base for this character? So you may be right that regular ES might be small. Look at the previous releases , ANH Han had a lower ES than previous releases.

I was just telling Pix that with such a low Ex ES and potentially a low regular ES, he might actually break the curse of past Lando figures and not only go UP in value, but wind up being a grail vs. a pegwarmer. :lol

Does anyone know which Star Wars figure currently has the lowest ES? I remember that someone had posted the info some time ago, listing them all, but I have no clue where that research could be.

Was it Kit Fisto?

I don't get the demand for broadshoulders on the base body. Most actors in SW and Indiana Jones were not hulking bodybuilders. Its always easier to add bulk under an outfit to make a bigger character than make a huge figure work for a Luke or something and personally, I don't think the scale change going to the pro was a very big deal. Its not like it went all the way down to Medicom size.

Very true, which is why I say when everyone's commenting for a taller PRO, it's not just the height but the entire scale of the body needs to increas.

The shoulders would be perfect if the entire body were scaled up. They seem so small because the neck and head that goes into them currently isn't in scale with them.

Adding limb and abdominal extensions will help the height issue, but that's a bandaid fix, the real fix is a better scaling between the heads and the body.

The Pro design, just take it and make it about 110-125% bigger and the size issues will go away.

Yup this would be the first lando to not get stuck gathering dust if the regular edition is fairly low as well I still see lando figures from the 3 3/4" line setting on racks in the discount aisles from time to time. Though I do wish Sideshow would have made the exclusive size a bit larger I just barely got my order in with trouble of the page not wanting to load. I perfered when the size matched the year of the film release it just seemed fitting.

Egads...I missed the exclusive by mistake...typed in my password wrong :p Ah well, I still got my order in at 10:04, so hopefully it will convert soon.

So this is really bothering me...why does Lando not come with a Bespin Security Guard pistol which he actually holds in the course of ESB, unlike the Rebel Trooper gun which is a Kenner toy association?

So although the confirmation page said I was waitlisted, by the time the e-mail arrived I had gotten the PPO somehow (double-checked). :chew

But not until the 4th Quarter of 2009? Who's producing this, Diamond Select?

I passed on Lando, but I monitored the progress as the PPO was happening. I'm amazed at how quickly he sold out! It was pretty exciting to watch and I was very tempted to join in (getting caught up in the thrill of it all! LOL!), but since I wasn't really serious about getting Lando, I thought I'd be nice and let someone else out there get an exclusive!

By the way, anybody have an image of the Bespin style gun Lando uses?
