Just saw the last trailer.

So, this went from an eerie disaster porn semi-horror movie, to another Pacific Rim but just Kaiju vs Kaiju instead of vs Robots... Strangely enough, I'm not one bit less excited about this than I was before, in fact I'm even more excited.

This looks miles better than pacific rim. Im talking miles. Humans are defensless, I see no cheesyness anywhere as in no cliche crap. it still gives off a haunting vibe and still Godzilla is an enemy to mankind than a hero. The humans are in the way of Gozillas goal.

Pacific rim was more like. O dude my bro is dead man but the goverment needs me but im done with all this I have no faith in myself. Woah a hot Asian chick! Sigh me back up, Im gonna save da world and take care of her mental insecurities.

Pacific Rim was supposed to be cheesy and fun, different approach to the same genre, also, there will be cliches, just wait and see, every blockbuster these days has cliches, but yeah a darker tone is more fitting in this one and a bit more interesting.

And you missed the mark horribly on your second paragraph he didn't quit, the government was shutting down the Jaeger program.

I'm not going to lie, I hope they don't focus too much on this thing being a brawler. Seems like Edwards is really pushing for emotion and majesty, so the Muto confrontation wouldn't happen until towards the end. I think it's just that the last trailer focused ONLY on the battle-related stuff and that left a weird taste in my mouth.

Hopefully, Sideshow releases that bust or that bust incorporated into a full maquette of the entire body. That would be superb.

This seems like it's going to intertwine the human characters with the monsters without taking anything away from the plot of the film like transformers does. It seems like everything will happen without random thought.
