It's interesting, I thought PR was rubbish, going in with high expectations. My wife and I also went into G14 with high expectations. At the end, I cheered and she was tearing up. We thought it was teriffic, and will be seeing it again. In fact, I'm taking my character design class to see it on Tuesday. Afterward, we'll be designing kaiju as a class project.

Absofreakinglutely!

Is it perfect?

Is anything?

Ok, maybe Raiders, Jaws and ESB. :lol

It left me hungry for MORE!

That's a good thing.

Great job by GE.

Now, if you're looking for evil Godzilla here, if that is critical for you, then nothing will make you like this version.

But all the monster screen time pacing complaints is total rubbish.

GE did an incredible job building it up.

Are you ready for this secret?

There were freaking monsters at almost every step of the way!

Where the **** did people come up with no Godzilla/Monsters until the end is beyond me.

I was NOT bored for a second?

People were cheering and clapping, as I was!

The Imax countdown was awesome as well! I believe that's the first time its ever been done, and it totally gets you pumped for what is about to come!

3D was well done! Not critically necessary to enjoy the movie, but worth it once.

Loved the opening Jurassic Park homage with the helicopter over the water and jungle, not offended at all. :lol

My two critiques of the film are Joe should have been the main character, and the Desplat score was servicable at best.

Godzilla's version of "mouth to mouth" was SPECTACULAR!

Saw it. Human parts were decent. Cranston was great but everybody else coasted. Monster scenes blew me away.

When Dr. Serizawa speaks the name, "Go-zhee-la," chills ran up my spine.

Godzilla swimming in formation with the Navy was MONEY.

I just realized, I saw G14 tonight at the same theater that I saw KING KONG ESCAPES at in 1968, which is just down the road from the site of the (now closed) drive-in where I saw DESTROY ALL MONSTERS the same year.

I thought it was pretty good but i do wish they had trimmed some of the human scenes, especially in the second half and extended some of the monster scenes.

Just got back from seeing it. All in all, it was only okay. I'm not a huge fan of Godzilla in general but I just really didn't care what was happening on screen. I didn't care about the humans and I didn't care about Godzilla. It wasn't that it was boring, it was just kinda empty and lifeless. Also, the acting was nothing special. Aaron Taylor Johnson seems like he's just going through the motions and trying to get the movie over with. I liked him in the first Kick Ass but he's pretty bland in this.
