Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - !!SPOILERS!!

Just got back, I gotta say the Mutos are great and worthy additions to Big G's rouges gallery! Early on I didn't think I'd like their designs but I was way wrong.

I thought Ford Brody's arc was stronger than that of the missus, or the kid. None were as compelling as Joe Brody. GE was clearly influenced by Speilberg in general, and JAWS in particular, so he should have insisted on going forward with the elder Brody. It was very obvious to me that he caved to the demo pressure no doubt brought by the WB suits.

I also would have liked more Serizawa.

My biggest beef is that the score was borderline rubbish. Akira If-ukube it WASN'T.

I hyphenated Akira's last name due to forum thinking it was an obscenity.

I ****ing hate you .... You scared the **** out of me with that first quote ... I just got done watching MONSTERS again and I was about ready to go to bed and I said... "Oh wait I got to see if Jye liked it... Jye and I seem to have similar taste in movies." You really got me LOL!!!!

Ok, maybe Raiders, Jaws and ESB.

It left me hungry for MORE!

Now, if you're looking for evil Godzilla here, if that is critical for you, then nothing will make you like this version.

But all the monster screen time pacing complaints is total rubbish.

GE did an incredible job building it up.

There were freaking monsters at almost every step of the way!

Where the **** did people come up with no Godzilla/Monsters until the end is beyond me.

I was NOT bored for a second?

People were cheering and clapping, as I was!

The Imax countdown was awesome as well! I believe that's the first time its ever been done, and it totally gets you pumped for what is about to come!

3D was well done! Not critically necessary to enjoy the movie, but worth it once.

Loved the opening Jurassic Park homage with the helicopter over the water and jungle, not offended at all.

Jye you make me feel all warm and tingly inside with these comments. I am still going to keep my guard up but I hope we agree on everything.. If the film turns out like you describe then I will be fine.

Yes.... JAWS, ROTLA, and ESB are perfect movies with JAWS getting the edge as being just that much more perfect

The fact that they killed Cranston off so early. I was hoping he was going to be a duo character with Ford. Really bummed about it.

His scene at the reactor was so good….Cranstons cry face really gets to me

I have to agree with that. I didn't even notice it as I watched the movie and I can't recall any of it.

It really didn't seem too special…but I have been finding myself humming the rhythm of the theme since I left the theater…

I loved the mutos. Thought they were better than any of the PR kaiju.

I have always felt this way since seeing the final product (they looked awful in the pack of destruction toy set). I love the look. They have a bit of an Insect/cloverfield look to them with a Tremors mouth... Love the look. Watched the Entertainment weekly clip again (airport scene) and got all excited all over again

MUTO's were spectacular.

This is what I thought might be coming and what I was hoping for... But reviews started to scare me... If I get 20 min of Godzilla and plenty of MUTOs and the plot revolves around the monsters then I will be a happy camper. I am sure it wont be the perfect Godzilla movie The only way to achieve that is if I make it but if I end up feeling like Jye did after the film then it will be my fav Godzilla movie

So far this summer has kicked last summers ass.

In order of my favorite movies so far since April:

1. Cap 2
2. Godzilla
3. Batman Costume Reveal
3. ASM 2.

Not for me. The score's purpose is to elevate what's happening on screen. It's supposed to convey emotions. I didn't get that at all.
