How is wifey holding up. :duff

Ready to pop :lol, 38 weeks today and the lil man's giving her false signals. We're both just dying for him to come out, the last week or so has just felt so like, he's gonna be here any day, no more counting day and the wait blows :lol I feel like it's December 1st and I know the gift I want most is under the tree, but I have to wait til the 25th to open it haha.

Plenty of MUTO, felt there was quite alot of the big G even if really it was only ~26min. They cocktease so badly early only it's not funny but imo the payoff is awesome. Then again I'm a bit of a G fanboy so I may be biased. The movie didn't drag either so it doesn't feel like you wait an age before you get to see him.

Someone apparently calculated him to have about 26 minutes of screen time, which isn't bad at all, at least when you look at the history of Godzilla, he's never had a lengthy screen presence.

I don't so much care how much, though something like 5-10 minutes would be too little, I definitely care more about quality and every clip and photo I've seen so far has been pure nerdgasm fodder. I see myself feeling the other hour and a half totally worth it to get the 30 minutes of G-ness, though I think I'll like the whole movie anyway.

My break down was pretty accurate. :lol

Was the best day in my life.

Wishing you 3 the best.

Between loving the quality of Godzilla's screen time and being used to Edwards' use of news cam footage and such to show creatures in action, I think I'll be fine with how things are handled. It's not for everyone. He did the same in Monsters and when he does finally give his creatures screen time, it's really cool so I didn't really care and I was interested in the human story.

Think about it this way. This is like an Origin story. Something like Batman Begins type. IF there is a sequel Im sure Godzilla will have more screen time. The sequel should be now that Humanity have rid themselves of MUTO's they think Godzilla is the only potential monster for concern and they now try to hunt and kill him, etc etc.

Not sure how spoilery this might be but I'll keep it vague enough, the money shot is epic, you see it beginning and you'll know what it is, I kinda lost my mind when it happened. Prepare to be nerdgasm'd.

Guess you haven't seen the movie.

that would be like if THE ONLY time you saw batman in costume was at the end when he has to fight the league and Ras on the train
and that was it....

Well I have not seen it yet so I can't really say. But greygoose saying that he liked it and did not love it is worrisome to me. I want to love this film. Are my expectations high? Damn straight they are... The trailers have killed... But this lack of Godzilla thing may sink the film in the long run for me :(

But I will give my 100% honest Godzilla fan opinion after I see this tomorrow.

Yep, I joined in the hype and I really thought I would love it but overall I felt let down. Even as a newbie to Godzilla I ended up wanting more Godzilla and less Muto. Don't get me wrong, every scene with Godzilla in was great but I ended up wanting more Godzilla as a villain and not just a anti-hero.

I know i am going to get hate for this... but Guillermo Del Toro would have made a much better movie.
the movie everyone was expecting this to be...

Has there been any portion of it shown in trailers or is it totally new and does it have anything to do with atomic breath?

2hrs 3 minutes

He's in it 1/4 of the movie is what i'm been reading.

That's 30 minutes.

But full Godzilla is 20 minutes out of that 30 is what I read.

I'm ok with 20 minutes of full Godzilla.

If I get full Godzilla for 25 min then I have no problem with it whatsoever and if there are MUTO scenes beyond that then I will be just fine. I will find out tomorrow :) Thanks for the replies :)

The movie is MUTO heavy. More of a MUTO movie with G rocking up to kick the crap out of them.

Can't say until I see the movie... I was not a big fan of Pacific Rim and his other movies are hit and miss with me.

I am hoping with the knowledge of knowing Godzilla's Limited screen time (I must say though 20 full G and 6 teasers of G sound perfect to me) that I will be prepared. Without question I would have been let down with him only showing up at the end had I now known.

I don't mine the MUTO being in it more as I like the design and love me some giant monsters.

I doubt it, but it seems like the film we are getting isn't exactly the movie that was marketed. The marketing made it seem like godzilla was out to destroy everything and we had no way of stoping him when in retrospec, it's something else that's out there and godzilla stops by to whoop ass. I'm seeing the film on saturday so i'll be able to see for myself if this is the movie I was expecting. It doesn't sound like it's the horror and destruction film we originally thought.

It is, just not Godzilla doing the destroying. Although both monsters don't seem to be out to kill all humans, our stuff just gets in their way.
