LOL I was going to go last night with my friend.. But other things came up.

Hang tight, Godzilla and I are waiting outside Biojex's apartment, he takes forever to get ready.

He needs to say goodbye to everyone of his Kaiju. :lol

Then we have to pick up MF, his wife and their L&D doctor.

You will like this movie JAWS, no matter what it takes. :lol

I love when I get text messages on my phone cuz my sound is the Godzilla 2014 roar :)

Watched G a M and Tokyo SOS.

Have to say, pretty entertaining, better than FW that's for certain, although his animatronic suit was kind of lame.

Next will be G vs Destoroyah, never seen that one.

Skip to the end, the movie leading up to the Godzilla fight is pretty boring and seems derived from past films. Wait, am I talking about Godzilla vs Destroyah or Godzilla 2014, hmm.......

I saw it today, meh.

Didn't hate it, but I don't think Godzilla movies do much for me. I was . . . bored. I thought the entire cast was great, and the human characters weren't boring it was just that, I don't know, it dragged on and on and on. Was seeing Godzilla in action cool? Sure. But those moments were few and far between. Cranston was fine, but I wouldn't really say he stood out. I actually didn't miss his character when he died like I thought I would, I was like "oh, okay". Aaron Taylor-Johnson wasn't bad either. I think it was wrong to have his character carry the movie, but that wasn't his fault. I thought his character and his wife Olsen were fine. I actually really liked the scene in the train with the little soldier action figure and the boy that was separated from his parents. I do think the characters being put in these situations over and over again was a bit much though.

It just got to the point where I was watching the action and story play out and I wasn't caring. It wasn't bad, but I didn't feel invested at all. I did like the "OUR HERO: GODZILLA" in the news headlines, that got a lol out of me. I looked at Godzilla as a superhero in this one, like he left to fight another day and will come back in the sequel, "Godzilla Returns". :lol

Again, I'm sure it's just my feelings on the genre as there's some pretty hardcore Godzilla fans that seem to have dug this. As a kid, I was never much into Godzilla. I had cousins that loved the hell out of him and my dad even tried to push me into it, but I don't know, just never understood the appeal. I've tried watching what's considered the "best" or classics of the Godzilla films, but they remind me of the Power Rangers city battles or something. I can't get into em.

Oh, speaking of titles.

I loved the opening sequence/credits to the film with the 40s/50s videos, files, etc. I thought that was really well done. I got chills when "GODZILLA" came up in black and white.

I agree... I have to see this a second time now that I know what kind of Godzilla film it is.

That will forever be my main problem with this Godzilla... They turned him into Gamera.

They sure did turn him into Gamera. This may have well been a remake of Gamera 3 the Revenge of Iris. I don't mind it so much, that doesn't really bother me. It's just that there's really no relationship established between Godzilla and Muto, there's usually 2 fights in a godzilla film which then ups the ante for the second fight. The fights are there, we just don't get to see them, at which point I loose my connection to what is happening in the film.

I'm glad the film is doing well though, that's good to see for this kind of movie.

I really enjoy Godzilla vs. Destroyah.
