By the way, has anyone read the Japanese reactions? It's mixed. And some of the comments are towards Ken Watanabe. :lol

He's Hollywood's go-to Japanese man.

But yah I rad the comments...so many of them are so idiotic and have no understanding of the franchise.

I remember one of them remarked about the lack of authenticity of the movie cause there were no rubber suits. I dunno if I could be motivated to go to a theater and watch a movie like that.

Saw the trailer last night on IMAX before The Hobbit!
It was EPIC!!! People were cheering and clapping! Cannot wait!!! :panic:

Clapping huh!? Wow. What theater? I'm in San Diego too. Well, the Mira Mesa area.

So from all of the sketches/sculptures, I'm really liking the design.

I love the more elongated, thick neck, like 98 Godzilla had. As well as the lack of those massive, hideous thunder thighs that the rubber suits had.

The feet though...the feet are a big WTF.

It looks like he stubbed all of his toes and they got pushed into his foot.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

The sculpt I posted before had a nice variation of the closed-mouth look with his teeth sticking out. If it looks like that in the film than that's a big plus. The few clear shots we've seen have been of Godzilla with his mouth open, and his lack of carnivorous change the look of him immensely. But if they can make him look fearsome with his mouth closed than all is forgiven. Except the feet. That's just unforgivable.

Well, those pictures are only from a figure. Godzilla in the film might have better proportions.

Those were some of the best parts!

The new design is begging for bigger thighs and feet, how else is it supposed to be able to support that huge torso and neck? At least the old suits had weight distribution that made sense. I have a feeling Goji '14 is going to look flat-out ridiculous from the front...
