Re: Lego Marvel

Well, he is half the reason to get that set, so half its cost shouldn't be unexpected :lol

Really guys, its far cheaper to just buy the darn sets for the figures than to just buy them seperately. :slap

And Hulk is more like 3" ;)

Re: Lego Marvel

Yea but I don't wanna play with legos....just want the Hulk thingy. Kinna like minimates but lego style. :monkey2

Re: Lego Marvel

That's the big difference between Lego and minimates. Lego focuses on the sets you can build, not the figures. But collectors want them to be like minimates and just buy the figures :lol

Re: Lego Marvel

And Ha$bro is here to save the day :cuckoo:

i think ha$bro also has the figure rights so just like star wars, lego wont be able to sell them individually

Re: Lego Marvel

Didn't have time today to pick up the sets I put on hold, maybe another day.

As for the mini figs that people sell for $20+ because it's only packed in the big sets. That really sucks, there are 2 mini figs from the ninjago sets that are unique like the Hulk, both of it has 4 arms and each also runs $20+ I'm new into collecting Legos and now see the cool factor vs minimates.

Re: Lego Marvel

Whats up with the pre-order status when these were released on Sunday (or before in some places)? If these were in stock, I'd cancel my Lego shop order which still hasn't shipped! At least Sideshow's got the 'out the door in 24' for in stock items. Apparently Lego has a "well get to it when we feel like it" slogan :lol

Re: Lego Marvel

Congrats! If you like that set, you'll love the rest because that is by far the worst set of the bunch (not saying its bad, but there's always got to be a worst set even in a line of great sets right?).

Re: Lego Marvel

I am hoping someone buys the latest one and strips it down to sell it. I only want the Black Widow piece.

Re: Lego Marvel

She's already available in a few stores on Bricklink for $20. Still way too much for one minifig that is currently available in a retail set.

May is the official release date, so I guess that is why SS has them on preorder. No discount, no free shipping, just being able to use bonus points, there is not much incentive to buy LEGO from SS.

Amazon just listed them for preorder, too, for regular retail and free shipping. Give it a few months, they'll be on sale.

I picked up the Quinjet from my local LEGO store Monday. Using their 10% coupon from their catalog and reward points, I got it for a bit over $50 plus tax, plus new points for next time. Not bad. I will wait until the May promo for the free Hulk minifig before I pick up the rest. It's great having a local store!!!!

Re: Lego Marvel

$25+ for an individual Hulk avengers. How big is this thing? 2 inch? :lol:monkey2

Damn you ebay seller, damn you lego.

That actually looks a bit closer to a Superhero Squad figure than a Minimate. Not much that screams "LEGO" about this figure at all to me, but I know LEGO fans will want to buy it just because it was made by that company. Otherwise, you could get a SHS (or Minimate) version with more detailing for significantly cheaper. There were even Minimates made from the Norton Hulk film that can be bought for a song.

They are bigger than LEGOs, though closer to 2 inches in height than 3.

I have enough hulk minimates. And enough hulk super hero squad. Yea, this hulk isn't the typical lego but its good enough. Typical lego style hulk looks much like minimates anyway. No rush...I'll wait it out from ebay. Don't want to spend $20 for a few inch plastic. I'll wait till it drop to like 10. Now to decide if I want another mighty mugg hulk.

No, it was April 8th actually. I really don't know why some places aren't getting them till May though. I guess just limited supply? :dunno

Why are they making you wait until two weeks after the movie comes out to get that Hulk minifig?

Because that has nothing to do with the movie. They want us to buy the new sets when they come out and not wait for a promo. They're hoping we'd have already bought all the sets by then and have to buy something else to get the free comic book Hulk. Plus that promo info was leaked in the first place. That and the usual May the 4th be with you promo which is TC-14 this year. Its all about marketing.
