I can't say for certain until seeing more pics but this might be my favorite of the 5 we've seen so far. I've always hoped we'd get a Helms Deep Leggy and to finally get it is fantastic!

Wait until you see some close-ups of Legolas. Trevor's done some great LOTR work in the past, but this might be the best likeness he's ever done.

Wait until you see some close-ups of Legolas. Trevor's done some great LOTR work in the past, but this might be the best likeness he's ever done.

Now that's saying something. Trevor does some of the best sculpts ever and as for likeness...he's king IMHO .

Excited to see all these maquettes is how I am!

Perhaps it's just me, but I believe by the time this collection has run it's course we'll be looking at the greatest LOTR collection ever produced.

The question is, how long will it be until its run its course? Will we see a variety of uruk-hai and orcs? Lesser characters like a fountain guard, Eomer etc? And creatures? I'd love to start seeing some creatures. I think the Mumakil Weta did can be improved on, i didn't like the dying pose. But then you have to wonder if it's worth while doing another, say, Watcher in the Water....
I'd also love to see a larger Shelob, standing on the rocks as she does before attacking Frodo.

Over time, I believe they intend on doing everything. A whole range of "baddies" including orcs, uruks, and yes....even a watcher. And we will definitely see some of the missing good guys such as Faramir, Eomer, etc.......it's just a matter of time.

I tend to agree woodsy, based on what we have seen so far. I'm really excited about this line too.

Yeah FrodoEyes, sure hope SS stick with this line. Some creatures would be nice...but let's get the Fellowship first...just in case.

Oh I'm sure as long as these sell well enough we'll see a lot of characters of all kinds. Just gotta sell thats the thing.

I'm really torn because I sit here looking at my Weta pseudo-fellowship and find myself not wanting to break up the set. However the Sideshow versions all seem to be great. Although, I'm not really drooling over any of them other than Strider. I'm definitely sure I don't want or care to have two of the same character in the same format and scale. So if I do pick any of these up it will replace the existing Weta statue.

Welcome aboard Lorcs! I would hope that we see Boromir in the near future, and Sideshow did post pictures of the concept sketch in one of their production videos for the maquette line here:

Sideshow should be offering Legolas up for pre-order soon, and have suggested that these Maquette pieces will likely ship quarterly, so we should get Aragorn in the spring, Gandalf in the summer, Legolas in the fall, and either Arwen or Gimli as the next offerings after that, but Arwen and Gimli have not yet been solicited, so we don't know when they might get offered!

If SS keeps to it's revised plan of 4 maquettes/year we should see Boromir sometime around Oct./Nov.
