The knives were what forced my hand to display him in the exclusive orientation. But it's cool, because I like this statue that way anyway.

Yea, I like them both ways. I think I'll switch from time to time but I'll keep those knifes back there regardless. I actually like the way Isildur's got his displayed with a knife and the bow. That looks pretty good too.

Nice pics! This one is my fav of the line so far. I just looked at them all again. Gandalf is a close second only because of his presence. I love that he's standing high on a cliff or something. Makes him a big looking piece.

This one is my favorite for the flow of the piece and the likeness.

Nice Hellgate statue by the way. Mine just broke of that one. :(

I agree with the flow. Gandalf is actually the piece I like least. I saw him in person and it just didn't do it for me like the PF did. Aragorn is my favorite for simplicity and it's a Strider statue.

Too bad on the hellgate piece. I got all 4, the female templar is my favorite

Did you get your knifes in the back okay?

After some fussing, it was more of getting it a right angle. I probably will display Legolas the way I have it right now so no need to keep the blades on the back.

Hmmm. You don't like the Gandalf one much eh. Strange. I really like it. It's funny how people can see the same object so differently.
I do like Aragorn because he is strider but he's just so still compared to the rest. Not saying that's a bad thing though.

I had all four hellgates. Now I have 3. Female Templar is also my fav. Fantastic piece. The chick summoning that beasty thing is also really nice. Weta sure can do some nice stuff.

My problem is that I saw the PF in person before I saw the maquette and out of the two the PF exceeded my expectations and the maquette didn't quite live up to that.

It's a nice piece no doubt, but it's not the PF.

Turned out exceptional I'd say. Will have min Thursday and then its time for a review for TORn assuming I can go outside and take pics.

thanks for the photos, the face paint looks pretty good! is the blades metal/polystone or soft plastic?

Nice low #. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a low # but either way the statue looks amazing.

Blades are in soft plastic, but the paint is pretty good!

My pics coming soon :)

Sideshow should think very seriously about his fire some employees, especially drivers of quality, lately come from many parts of paint failure, and most times the failures of the parts are for this reason, faults and failures painted.

This cries out to heaven, it is sheer laziness.

A wonderful job done by Mr Trevor Grove, did not deserve this failure painted on the Quiver of Legolas.
