I'm not too upset about the paint application on the quiver, but this is a real bummer:

No, it wasn't #42. It was up in the 180s. No low number for me, but at least I got a damaged one after a delayed delivery! That kind of makes up for it.

But seriously, I already requested a replacement. It's a great piece!

What do you guys all prefer now that you have him in hand: EX knives or regular bow and arrow look?

I'm sure it will be fine. It's honestly a terrific statue and I'm just glad that I live close to Sideshow and hope the exchange process will be nice and quick.

It's great to have Legolas on display with Aragorn and Gandalf. Leaves me wanting more, though...

Bummer on the breakage, but glad to hear that a replacement is on it's way! I have both Legolas and the Black Orc of Mordor arriving on Monday at work. I can't wait, but our new receptionist is a spaz, and I am concerned about her breaking things by trying to move these boxes!!

This turned out amazing. Congrats to all who got one!!! I am interested myself. Where woud I get one from these days?

Platty, I would recommend that you try to get one directly from Sideshow if you are looking for the exclusive, as they have been converting some waitlist orders recently.

The regular edition is listed as in-stock right now at Sideshow too, but I usually order from Alter Ego Comics, as they have a discount that helps on the price (usually between 10% -15% off!)

Good luck! The maquette line has been amazing so far! Gandalf and Aragorn already shipped, and Gimli, Boromir, Arwen and Ringwraith are all on the horizon!

Well I got mine last night. I haven't noticed anything broken yet! A relief as I have had to exchange too many statues lately.

My scabbard is like everyone elses. The gold lines of the peacock are not painted. There is a tiny bit of detail on the peacock that is painted, a couple of blue feathers. This isn't a big deal to me.

The only part of the statue that gives me much heartburn is the complexion of Legolas. He is a pale elf but the statue makes him look like he's part hispanic. Not a huge deal but something that shouldn't be this way. It's pretty obvious.

Yeah, I was feeling the exact same way. But I'm leaning toward thinking he has been out in the exposed landscape of Rohan for awhile.

He still should be far more pale. :(

I also found when I first opened him and didn't have much light on him he appeared much darker than when I had him on the shelf with more light on him. Still too dark but something I can live with.

Just got #161 :yess:. He is awesome. Yeah I agree the skin tone is a little bit darker for Legolas but it really doesn't bother me that much.

Before I got this in hand I thought the regular pose is much better and I planned to display it with regular pose, but I quickly changed my mind when I saw this in person, the EX pose looks better (at least for me).

He looks great with his friends, this line is awesome can't wait to get more.

Awesome pics Mamba! Is there any way you could take a pic of the three of them together with Aragorn's hooded head and Legolas with his bow and arrow hands?
