Well how typical! I ordered the regular on Flex yesterday with my reward points and today i'm told my exclusive wait-list is converting!!
Now firing off an e-mail to SS to see if my points can be transferred and cancel the regular *fingers crossed*

That's exactly what almost happened to me. I was just going to Flex the reg with $30 of my points too, but I was at work and waiting until I got home. Luckily, I got an email stating my EX was converting tomorrow!!!

I called them to see if I could use my points on the EX waitlist conversion, and they told me no.

I hope so, i really want the ex now after seeing all the photos. Loving the look of this statue

I also really hope we see some hobbits next, but i wouldn't be surprised if they hold off until middle to end of next year to catch Hobbit-fever and guarantee sales.
Until then, some more bad guys continuing on from the ringwraith would be good. Saruman, Mouth of Sauron.... the hobbits!

Yeah, it's a feat statue for sure.

I could see that. I expect we will see an announcement during the 12 days of SS. Hopefully it a hobbit piece but of not during the summer as we get closer to the hobbit would be good.

Makes you wonder if SS is afraid of completing the Fellowship within one line for some reason. They have gone full ahead with the Fellowship with the maquettes yet the absence of hobbits is quite apparent. I think they want people pot committed to guarantee a certain level of sales with the hobbits. Maybe they sprinkle a few more secondary tier characters in between the hobbit sets (assuming they are two per base). But still, many would buy a Fellowship set but pass on most other characters, baddies excluded. I can't think of any other human character I would buy beyond the Fellowship, in fact.

I think they want to see good sales but the hobbits have been slow sellers overall. So making sure things are riding a high when putting them in is pretty smart.

We discussed somewhere potentials for Merry and Pippin. I hope they do them first because there are some real cool opportunities there and those two characters have been drastically ignored for years. I'd pair that release with a baddie, Sauron maybe, to ensure interest in the line stays strong from moment to moment. Exciting times ahead for sure.

Yeah, I'd tackle that pair first as I think they will sell slower than Frodo/Sam will. You then as you said can mix in a bad guy or two plus say someone like Eomer and then Frodo/Sam.

I really really really want a Saruman soon. We have so many decent Gandalf pieces out there but no Saruman.

I want to see Saruman made next as well.

I think Frodo/Sam with Gollum, as i discussed further down in a Gollum maquette thread, should come before Merry and Pippin. They're more likely to sell well, and if we already have 7 members of the fellowship, Merry and Pippin should then sell quite well to complete the collection.

Heard back from SS, and apparantly you can't apply reward points to a waitlist order if it converts, something i didn't know, but Lottie says she'll put my reward points back into my account for me if (when) i cancel the order for the regular, which is great! Because then i'll use them on the ringwraith exclusive probably.

I wouldn't read much into it. That's just how things go in this economy. The line as a whole I think is doing just fine and as I said one shouldn't read much into things.

Personally, I was nervous to jump into this line due to SS putting so many LotR lines "on hold". I'm sure it will do well. Word of mouth has been great too.

They said the line at comic-con is doing pretty well but they also know that crazy quick sell outs aren't going to happen here. Things in general come back in-stock even with licenses like Marvel and heck we're even seeing HT items start to come back in-stock.
