Great posts everyone, and I will definitely move this to the other thread as soon as I get the go ahead from Les. He called me last night and was very shaken, my phone cut out before we could finish the conversation... but he was really upset. I hope he feels better today, and reads these posts...especially the one from Sean.

And once he lets me know that it's ok, I will move all of this stuff to the other thread.

I don't think there is any reason to bash One eye any further guys. Both men were having a real ^^^^ty day, one said some things that I believe in my heart he feels bad about and the other just reacted after built frustrations.

Today is a new day and i'm sure both guys feel both better and different this morning. ^^^^ happens but there should be no hard feelings towards anyone, anymore.

I don't get it. Sorry for coming in so late Les. I haven't been reading all the posts that I usually do with all that has been going on but am slowly filing back in. I know that my 1:1 life went straight down the crapper last year and into this one so far (almost lost my wife<twice>, lost my brother-in law, then lost my mom, then got pneumonia and doc said had I stayed home two more days I'd have been dead, then they thought I had a heart attack and now just found out I have diabetes) and I know of Les' and Josh's year of craptasticness, but are we three the only ones who have had bad years? Must be, 'cause I certainly see a lot of folks who must have everything going so right in their lives that picking on folks having a bad time is all they have to do. You guys used to put freshman in lockers? Give "em swirlies? What a bunch of tough guys picking on guys that are going thru ^^^^ times. I hate waiting for stuff as much as, if not more than the next guy. Hell, I start anticipating their return as soon as I send them out. But, if I want them done I have to wait. Patiently or impatiently doesn't even matter. Either way doesn't make the person they've been sent to work any faster or better. Or make life begin to ease up and everything go smoothly just because I'm waiting. Hell, I'm waiting over FOUR years for heads from a guy who was supposed to paint them. Some of them are not ever going to be available to me again, if he doesn't return them, I'm S.O.L.
I know with Les and Josh that that is not going to happen. I know where they're coming from, respect their openness in the forums and know that when I get my work from them I don't just have painted/repainted heads. I have works of art that vie for the centerpiece spot in my collection.

Great post man, and very well said. And from a friend who has sent me heads and had me work on them for over a year, that really is saying a lot. People could learn a lot about patience from you bro...

Anyone can have a bad year, or even a horrible moment... at any given time. Life has no discretion, it will come swinging that wrecking ball at any of us...anytime. As artists we try not to blame the ball for what it does best, and we suffer every moment of anxiety for the late work...it all piles up together. I know it does for me, I have a burning pit in my stomach for my entire workload... everytime I look at something that is more than 6 months late, it hurts... I hate that.

All any of us can do is just roll with the punches and do our best to get the product to the people. We appreciate every one of you, for your trust in us and your support. And we really really don't want to let anyone down, we want to deliver. And at least with us, you know we will. It's not in our DNA to fail.

Yeah, I've kept up with your trevails in 08, so it was always, for lack of a better word, a GOOD thing, to know someone else was having it rough that I could communicate with, and that understood. Sorry of course for what you have been through, as that is NOT good of course. But thanks for sharing. My heart and prayers are with you buddy.
And I love that new and deserved avatar, and your sig as well. No lie!

Back to paints today. I was up last night mostly with a stomach bug thing. I went out an ate at a country food type place and I think the fried food didn't agree with my already antsy stomach. It wasn't helped by Ma having contracted a staph infection, on top of being in pain from her fall, so not only can I not help her not hurt, but I can't get near her to hug her without wearing a mask, gloves and a robe, for crying out loud. It's always bad when someone is hurt and you can't do anything. But, she is in good hands, and is on great meds (I wish I had a dose about now! LOL!)

Anyway, the good part out of all this is, I have all day to paint. Not getting out with this messed up stomach, so no mailouts likely today, but tomorrow a bunch more than planned for sure.

Not sure about much else.
I will post in my new work thread to get any address updates from folks I haven't mailed to yet, and update my client files today also, so anyone reading this, email me and let me know TODAY, so I don't miss your address tomorrow or in the next few weeks.
