Damn, Les. You sure do need a nice long vacation away from everything! :lol

After you're caught up of coarse. :wink1:

Damn Les, so sorry to hear about your eyesight problem! Financial stuff comes and goes, but it sucks to have your health affected!
I'm proud to own two of your fantastic sculpts and your work and wonderful warmth as a human being have always been an inspiration to me!
You rock man.

pictures to say how i feel about les' situation, his work, and the man himself:

Re: LES WALKER - All NEW Custom Works 2009

Thanks Vikki.

I am reposting this as there are still a couple of members yet to contact me with a head preference. A couple of you paid and I don't know your user names, so I don't wish to post your real names here. If you are unsure if you have emailed your pref to me, please do so now. I am working on the PENCIL TRICK Joker series first, and will be moving to the Party Crasher sets soon thereafter. When I am done with all four sets, I will NOT be returning to this series. So please, contact me if you have yet to make a choice. Thanks.

love these jokers

Sorry to hear about your eye sight Les. The eyes you've pulled off on the head sculpts I own which you've painted make it hard to belive you could have an eye sight problem and the lastest work you've shown still says the same. Like you say it may be getting a little harder but your work is still top notch !.
Keep up the excellent work mate. :rock

Just came across your thread and had a chance to check out some of your work. I really love it.

Man that was a long post, sorry to hear about your troubles, but as they say "____ appens"
On the plus side your custom figures and paintjobs will go way up in price once you can't paint anymore so woo hoo!!!!!

**** I aint got any:(
(probably won't get any now:))
No disrespect intended just my sense of humou,r hope no offence is taken and you see the funny side, all the best, big respect a true inspiration;)

Glad to hear from you again Les.

More important is to know you're not letting the stress of things get to you.

Hang in there. Each step is one step closer to finish.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. Working now. Today, yesterday, tomorrow! No damn holidays for me! LOL!

Anyway, more news soon! Getting a lot done. Tired but not out of the game yet!

Thanks for the support, guys. I appreciate it.
And eighthsamurai, love the photo montage! LOL! That one of the guy in the field rocks. Except set it at night and you'll about have it! LOL! That's for sure how I feel sometimes.
Not sure I get the JEJ one, but thanks anyway.

You all :rock

Enjoy the holiday! (And do think about, and appreciate our Vets this day!)
I got more work to do! Lots to ship! Back to it! :rock

Les, you're a warrior. You go through so much stuff, have had so many hardships over the last 24 months or so and still you keep your head up and never quit. You are an inspiration my friend. :clap

Keep fighting the good fight bud.

It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.

Les is a very admirable man, plenty of chances to throw in the towel but still fighting the good fight, never quitting.

ROCKY...ROCKY....oh..I mean....LES...LES...! :clap :)

We're all in your corner, got your back, and giving our support Les! As always my friend! YOU ROCK! :rock

Les is right. Let's all NEVER forget our veterans on this Memorial Day! All of those from the past and present that give their lives for OUR freedom! Thank you all SO much! :wave :flag

Just a quick note.
Got a LOT done last weekend, and have shipped a lot since. And with the warmer weather, my now dwindling paints are going fast, so I am off today to go 60 miles east to the nearest hobby shop to get more paint! Man, I know why I hate Summer work-wise again. Heat dries paint!
Anyway, no time to wait on online purchased paint when I need them NOW. No one to do it for me, so off I go.

Anyway, with more supplies in hand, more will get done and out of here by this week, so more stuff should be posting soon. Thanks for the support of late, and know, I am painting like a madman! Seriously.

Also, and unrelated, I have this sore nerve in my right thumb for the past couple of days. Whenever I grasp any bottle to open it, man does it smart. If anyone has a good cure for such a thing, please share it, because I have to use my right hand anyway! Not a lefty here, so seriously, any finger exercises or just what I can do to alleviate whatever it is, I will do. It doesn't affect actual paint work, just grasping things. It's on the inside of my right thumb, and right along the ridge of the join there. I massage it often, but it hasn't let up in a couple of days.
It may be a combo of age and bad weather, but I don't think so. It hurts more like a nerve in there. I didn't "injure" it that I can recall.

Sorry to bother with this, but since I am not going anywhere but my desk and work these days, any ideas of relief would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

More to come! Look for new pics! :rock

Only thing I can think of is rest.
Quality takes time and I'm sure people will be patient.

Other than that maybe some ibuprofen gel or equivlent spray for sprained muscles.
Might be arthrhtic but these might give some relieve all the best;)

I often use a small pair of pliers to open stubborn paint bottle lids. You can put all the pressure on the pad of your hand instead of the thumb that way.
